Is it possible to Lucic wave that clause so it is more likely to be traded?
I have no idea but I would make a pretty easy guess that its a no. I have a feeling the NHLPA wouldn't even want that as an option because even if a player didnt want to go along with it, the coach/GM could sort of force them out by not playing them etc... Better for that not to even be an option.

I'm sure someone else here knows for sure though.

Hey, does anybody know (AT THIS POINT!) where that Toronto pick will end up being? Somebody said something about Toronto having to lose to Boston, but that, also, all the underdogs have to win their respective series for the Toronto pick to be the highest that it can be. LoL, MANY of those conditions look to be coming true! So, where will the pick be by week's end, assuming Toronto loses to Boston and the Knights and Canes and Stars win their respective series. Thanks!!!!

Best thing to hope for is that Toronto does not make final 4, and that teams below Toronto in overall standings do.

If Toronto does not make it to the conference finals or the Stanley Cup finals, the TOR pick will be in the 19-25 range, if Nashville and/or Washington lose before the conference finals the pick will be 19-23 or 19-24. You want to root for Carolina, Dallas, Columbus, Colorado, St. Louis and Vegas. The more of those teams that make it to their respective Conference Final or Stanley Cup final, the better of the TOR pick will be for the Kings. A Columbus-Carolina ECF and a Colorado-St. Louis WCF would give the Kings the 19th pick.

Almost there!!!

so right now at worse 20? and at best 19?

Worst case scenario is San Jose, Boston, and NYI/Washington making the conference finals since they would have been slotted behind Toronto anyways. If those three teams made the final four, the draft order would be:

23. Los Angeles (via Toronto)
24. NY Islanders
25. Nashville
26. Calgary
27. Tampa Bay
xx. San Jose
xx. Washington
xx. Dallas/St. Louis
xx. Boston

Best case scenario is Colorado, Columbus, and Carolina making it to the final four.

20. Los Angeles (via Toronto)
21. Buffalo (via San Jose)
22. NY Islanders
23. Boston
24. Nashville
25. Washington
26. Calgary
27. Tampa Bay
xx. Colorado
xx. Columbus
xx. Carolina

Don't think so. You can't alter the contract in any way that I am aware of. He can obviously waive to be traded, but whoever gets him has to protect him in the expansion. Good luck with that.

he can waive his NMC for Seattle if he wants. Fleury did it for the Pens with Vegas. Think some others did as well
