NHL Draft lottery race II - Bruins locked into 5th before ping pong balls.

Anyone on this team who decides to score a goal Tuesday should be blacklisted from any future alumni event and have their contract terminated immediately. Additionally whoever gets the misfortune of getting a goal scorers jersey off their back should toss it on the train tracks at North Station below.
 
I’m out of the tank - going Tuesday and can’t root against them live and with kid.

Hopefully works out and we end up top 6 in the end maybe one

They should have not played Geekie- Lindholm -Pastrnak together. Dumb.

You have to stick them together. These guys want to win, it’s fun and they’re starting to click. Lindholm actually looking like he belongs. I guess a great talent like Pasta can do that.

Tuesday night, Jersey coming in with 3 straight losses, their going to want to right their ship before the playoffs, I’m expecting their A game.

I didn't say they should purposely tank, just that winning meaningless games and these games are meaningless only hurts the Bruins chances in the draft lottery. The difference between drafting say 4th and 7th or 8th is substantial and only hurts the franchise.

I actually really respect you as a poster but this feels like what we are supposed to feel rather than what we actually feel

You can feel whatever you want. I have no problem with people rooting for the tank.

My point is look around the NHL. Look at Philly, Seattle, Buffalo, and so on. What we have seen over the last 3 weeks is team after team who maybe should be tanking and yet on the ice they are playing with pride and winning games, much like the Bruins are.

The is no doubt that if the final game were an NBA game Pasta, Lindholm, Zacha, geekie, and others would be sitting on the 9th floor with minor "injuries". That doesn't happen in the NHL. I expect all will play and will play with Pride like they have down the stretch

I am not sure I agree the first two picks are obvious after that to say 7 or 8 it gets greyer

It is not all others team who have the worst pool of prospects of NHL and total zero high prospect
 
the boys aren’t tanking because they’re not putting they’re believe in anything except themselves. Sweeney would have to tell Sacco to sit vets and he’s not going to do that. Now that shirts of their back night is Tuesday that’s not happening either.

Hopefully our competition can win out, but 6th ain’t bad and if I’m not mistaken you can only move down if someone below you wins. Why not us to move up?

Taking this hopium to the bank. This may be the last hope for the 4th pick.

I can’t imagine any team going into the playoffs wants to drop 4 in a row before round 1. Even though they have 1 and done all over them without Jack Hughes.

It’s probably a toss up Tuesday. Devils need to play a good game and iron things out or they are out in 4 or 5 to Canes
odds still in Bruins favor they get 4 OA
They lose in overtime they knock out Seattle

If they did that, they could hold a lottery of HF posters to fill out the fourth line and the difference between what they’d have dressed vs. the lottery winners would be close.

I mean not super close, but the HF guys would be better.

They won't. Why would they? They will likely rest key players and anybody with any sort of "injury".

That’s the first line next season. They should be very good.

Then we don't have to spend the next 10 years reading about who they should have selected.

Sure mentally but not in reality. We have to trust who’s making the pick. I believe Sweeney will do a good job sometimes things just work out sometimes they don’t, there are cases where almost everyone would go with the pic and it just doesn’t work out not much you can do about it
