NHL Draft lottery race - Bruins currently have 4th Pick

Bruins were bound to get some bounces. Glad for Pasta and for them, losing sucks!

I think they'll be all right, everyone else is winning right now and if Seattle can pull another one out, nothing would have changed standings wise other than gaining 2 on Philly.
6-2. hopefully a one off and back to losing ways on thursday.

I'm talking about where they end up. Schaefer 1 Misa 2 and so on. We pick 4 or 5 I take Desnoyers. We drop into that 7 or 8 area it's whichever of Bear or McQueen is left (assuming the health issues are non issues). This draft drops off quickly and I'd rather not take a D man unless it's impossible to say no because he's clearly the BPA. I'm looking for players who might fit and fill holes in the skeleton of this roster.
If there's no medical issue yes, I am taking Bear higher than some of the rankings, although I have seen him wildly all over the place from 6 to about 15.
Ah ok.

Seattle 0-12-1 in 2nd half of back2back and down 3 nothing after the first, not looking good for them to stay 3 pts ahead of the Bruins, but the B’s will be sitting in 5th, which is fine here.

Philly 2 games in hand

We can max out at 79 points. Highest we can reach mathematical is 11th if we win out and everyone else above loses.

Realistically though looking at the schedules of Anaheim, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Philadelphia i feel we end up 5th or 6th and then the balls will fall where they may

I have the strange feeling this team will get the 8-10 choice and will get another 3rd liner to ad to their immense collection

I think you’re dead on, friend.

Almost seems like games against teams atop the standings are more likely for wins this time of the year for us bottom feeders.

Hopefully the Bruins are building some karma up for the lottery. Then again, McKenna next season, then DuPont the following year. I’d rather win the lottery then haha

As long as they lose to Pittsburgh we should go into lottery 4-6

Chicago & Devils they should win

That first line needs to benched

This was a scheduled loss
I think the devils are going to come out in their next meeting with a bee in their bonnet and will be a total different team their not wanting to go onto the playoffs getting smoked by the Bruins twice in a week.

Bruins split with the Pens and Hawks, lock up 5th win the lottery, and draft Schaefer. Heard it here first !

You find Sharp and Saad the exact same place as Chicago did, THE DRAFT. Saad was a 2nd and Sharp a on
3rd. Bruins might have their Saad in Geekie and Pastrnak is certainly better than Hossa. Also they had a great pair of D-Men in Seabrook and Keith.

You may have a better chance luring Matthews here by offer sheeting Knies than getting a Cup caliber #1 center in this draft.

We play them again the last game of the season and they will be ready for us, so it's probably a guaranteed loss!

I guess the best hope right now if Frondell with where they are projected

They’ll either pick 5th or 6th, they really need a new management to make that pick.

I have zero trust in the current one when it comes to drafting forwards and how crucial this and the next draft are

Edit,

& if they are drafting 5th or 6th it just makes next years draft that much more important. This is a weaker draft and they aren’t landing the best, 2nd best or even the 3rd best forward prospect. That’s not going to be good enough to turn everything around and say yep the prospect pool has been rebuilt from the ruins

Desnoyers has a lot of Bergeron in his description

In 33 seasons Bergeron & Krejci never hit 35 goals or 80 points in a season but they were both 1 C on great teams

Looks like he can drive a line though the way those 2 did

Frondell I feel the best about but it’s probably going to change with me
Neither Krejci nor Bergy were true #1 centers, although the former led the playoffs in scoring in 2011 and 2013. They were both 1.5 centers. The beauty of those teams was that they had BOTH of them, which made up for not having a true #1 center. Bergy was at least a generational 200-foot player. It's a huge stretch to think that Desnoyers could be as good.

We need the Flyers to win some games.

Not everyone's McDavid at center and he hasn't even won a Stanley Cup yet.

My point being is, #1c is subjective.

Gee, I thought there were 25 McDavids in the league this year. So, #1 centers are subjective; therefore, I appoint Beecher the team's #1 center. Does that work for you?

Sarcasm aside, when your team's scoring is as bad as this team's, then you need a point-producing center. We already have Lin-home, Zacha, Poitras, Mittelstadt, and Minten as middle-six centers, and none of them will ever be a #1. We don't need another bottom six center.

Plus one of the above needs to really improve his game next year, and become a true #2 center. I'm really hoping that Elias, as well as Sway, will be much better next year.

Bergeron was a number 1 center. Come on man.

Really strange to read "Bergy was not a number one center" when it was called the damn Perfection Line and he owned the Selke but whatever. Krejci was also a number 1 center. Perfect one two punch. The complete 2 way guy and the incredibly skilled offensive guy (who could also play D). What we lacked was wingers to play with them at various times. How many times and how many picks did we trade trying to get the new Horton?

Had Horton not gotten done in early we'd likely have another cup or two. Same thing if Nash gives us a year or two. And I am positive we'd have beaten Chicago if Bergeron had been healthy.

But anyway, I'm warming to Martone. Maybe we actually don't need a center? So, for me, Schaefer, Misa, Desnoyers, Hagens, Martone and then idk I'm back to looking closely at Bear and McQueen but I hope we are top 5.

Beecher would not be a number one center on Bentley

Serious he’s not better than Ethan Leyh
