This is very exciting!! The last time the Bruins picked 5th overall that player went on to win three Stanley Cups!!!!!!!
And that said player went on to win three cups with the Bruins, right? ..... Right??

Seattle actually has more wins in regulation than the Bruins, so even OT would move the Bruins to 4. Just hope for a win though.
bruins would still be 5 because the first tiebreaker before the season ends is GP - seattle would have 1 more after tonight

I'm having a rough day so I may be waaaaaaay off base here but...I don't think it matters one bit if the Bruins pick 10th or 1st. Sweeney will somehow find a way to f*** it up. It may be in part a scouting issue but his draft history has not been good. I just don't trust him to pick the right player. :(

You can only hope he has learned from his “smartest guy in the room” tendencies in the past and just goes with slam dunk consensus this time. Though if he does go off board again, it will be fun to see the frequent posters here defend the pick to the death and say we don’t know what we are talking about until it becomes clear a few years later it was a mistake and then they quietly stop defending the pick.

Anybody here like me and checking this site daily:

Some interesting bits related to the Bruins:
- Bruins have a chance to finish fourth worst, but have the weakest schedule for all teams contending for 4th worst, so that isn’t good.

- For teams finishing 2nd to 6th worst, highest probability outcome is they move back one pick. So if the Bruins stay at 5th worst, most likely outcome is they pick 6th.

- Odds of moving up to 1st overall from the lottery only improve from 8.5% to 9.5% if finishing 4th worst vs 5th worst

- Clicking the “sim lottery” button is fun
That is a great site, lots of useful stats

I`m fine with a comment like this but I`d appreciate more context, why, how often have you seen him play, what about his game has you leaning to the side of not choosing him?

Not disagreeing with you as I can`t, never seen him play, I just wish some posters would go into greater detail about why they would or would not like player A, B or C
Don't need a 200-foot 2nd line center. Have too many middle 6 centers on this team.

Needs are, in order, IMO: a high-point producing #1 center, a couple of top 6 wingers, and a high-end dman. We need to get one of these in this draft. We can get one of the wingers in the free-agent market.
