I don`t know that there is a C who is NHL ready who`ll make so much of an immediate impact that the B`s improve massively next year but selfishly, I do want a kid who can step in next year, take their learning curve lumps and go from there, from what I keep reading, it`s that Frondell kid so if available, I take him

Luckily the Buffalo and Penguins game are on the road because this team is incapable of winning a road game. I'm actually pretty concerned about that last New Jersey game.. I wonder if the Devils would sit a bunch of starters last game of the year.

Just lose out and stay at 4 please. That's the only saving grace of the season at this point.

Also, I'm taking Schaefer and either dangling Lohrei for a forward when Schaefer is ready or trying Lohrei at forward. I don't think any of our LHD are capable of playing the off side.

Personally, I would just trade back to the 4th or 5th OA and grab Frondell/Martone/Hagens.

If you can get a mid/late first this year (Nashville and Chicago) and a prospect in the return, that’s excellent. Fiddler,Hensler, Nesbitt, and Amico are good names to take if you can land that.

So if the Bruins end up with #1 overall, do they take Schaefer? If this kid is as good as everyone says and will be in the NHL next season no question, do you do it? Your left side is Lohrei, Zado and Lindholm. Lindholm remains a question mark with his injury. He's also 32. Zado is about to turn 30. What about a McAvoy-Schaefer D-pairing? I admit I am tempted by the idea, even though the greater immediate need is in the middle.

Because I'm bored at work. These are the remaining schedules of teams relevant to the Bruins. I think the Predators are out of reach so I didn't include them. I see a decent amount of potential points for the Penguins so I think they could be upwards in the standings come the end of the year.

It's nice the Flyers and Sabres play each other to end the year. Hopefully the Kraken can beat the Sharks.

Overall I think if the Bruins sneak out a win somehow I think we could still be okay for 4, but they hopefully just lose out.

- I think you will see more teams tanking for Mckenna.
- If everyone is healthy, they will be a better team, not good but better.

I really think they'll be in contention for McKenna, unless somehow they get Marner in Free agency or Sweeney can acquire 2-3 top 6 forwards in a deal, something he hasn't been able to do in his entire tenure, unless you count deadline deals and Hall who said Boston or No-where.


Need to clean house from Neely down as soon as the season ends!

With Sweeney disastrous off seasons in the past, do you really want him heading a rebuild because this is what this has become, their way past the re-tool theory.

Unfortunately they won't. I believe they've convinced Jacobs that this year was an anomaly. Between Monty wanting out, all the injuries and Swayman having an "off" year.

I'd be okay with the Bruins stinking again next year to be honest. Next 2 drafts have exceptional player status players of Gavin McKenna in 2026 then Landon Dupont on 2027.

Not winning the lottery wouldn't the worst thing in the world this year..

They won’t be in the running for Mckenna unless they sell off pieces at the trade deadline again. Getting healthy, a couple of the younger players filling out and getting a little bit more mature, and some players returning back to their career average/form is going to put this team back on track. We know they have some money to spend this summer, that will help the forward group and hopefully the defensive pairings enough to bring them back to wild card territory or better. But if it’s January and you’re not looking too hot like this year, that’s when you have a serious conversation to the players with NMC/NTC and find a way to trade them alongside Mittelstadt/Zacha to help you tank. I can’t imagine Zadorov or Lindholm want another couple years of this, they came to win. Other teams are going to more competitive though, and the deadline should be chock full of teams trying to sell players off.

Better yet, what house has he been sorted into? Who cares about production, that's the info that should be the determining factor. Do I really want to spend a top 5 pick on a Hufflepuff?

Bruins fans want Slytherin or Ravenclaw ~ the thought of drafting a guy selected by Hufflepuff by the sorting hat, local, and a major reach is so Sweeney

i'd take schaefer for sure...he's a stud, amazing kid and very young for this draft. i think he'll play
another year of junior especially since he missed almost this entire season with mono and then
the collarbone at WJC. i'd also then consider moving lohrei+ for the center we need.

This team is utterly devoid of talent up the middle. You can’t pass on that kind of opportunity to draft a dman. And Lohrei isn’t getting you the caliber forward we need.

I don't completely disagree with you, but he Bruins are at the point where they need franchise players. I get the sense that after Misa, the rest of the bunch aren't even a guarantee to be a top line guy. Hagens looked like he had that potential coming out of the US NTDP... Not a given anymore.. I love his vision though. I take the guy who looks like a first pairing defender and run.

Regarding Lohrei, all I can go off of is the reporting around our mini fire sale that teams were calling about Lohrei and we wanted to hang onto him regardless of some of the prices teams seemed willing to pay. Not sure if this horrible stretch of hockey has changed anything, but I can only go off that.

I'm just saying. Getting the defensemen back will good good for their possession and transition game, but I don't know where the offense is coming from outside of Pasta and and Geekie next season.

They can throw money around this summer, but I'm not convinced they're in a position to give Marchand 7m or Marner 14m and have it turn out well. They need to invest in the center position way more. Teams built on wingers are highly flawed rosters.
