You have to wonder if these teams have passed the Bruins for good . Looking at the rosters the Bruins don’t have the talent of these teams in front of them on paper at least
Surely not for good. Maybe for the next few seasons, though. Everyone goes through the down times, Bruins far less often than most. Then there are always the teams you think have finally arrived that fall off again. I don't think a single one of us (or anyone anywhere) thought the Bruins would be in the bottom 5 of the league this year. Things can change really fast.

I’m not sure about his pace and I wanted The guy who went next to LA but rooting for him

Hoping for Peter McNab 2.0
The concerning part has to be his adjustment to the speed. I get that he needed a juniors year first that a few of his better teammates had, but one would think by seasons end he’d be at least up to pace. He just was never near the puck. Sure hope he figures it out.

Drafting Mathew Barzal and Kyle Connor over Zach Senyshyn and Jake DeBrusk were no-brainers and we saw how that panned out.
That’s not the top 5 picks though. 15-18 no? Hindsight’s 20/20 and Sweeney was gm for like a month. He fired the scouting staff from that draft I believe. His scouting and drafting seems to be pretty good for a gm with no draft picks.

Mildly warm take, McQueen doesn’t make it to #8

well as long as it is someone who doesn't have a spoked B on their sweater that's fine. If Boston went for him in the top 7 I'd lose my mind. Hick I hope someone who drafts in front of Boston takes a shot at him. Feels like a kid who if he wasn't 6'5 would be a mid to late first at best

Not off to a good start in postseason, he had one goal and no assists in the 3 games he has played in postseason. Looks like he sat out the 4th game, his team won that one without him

Have a gander at Misa's playoff stat line.

2 goals 1 assist and -3 in game 2. Difference is Misa had a dominant season to fall back on. McQueen has a nothing season, and so far a nothing postseason.

My guy Desnoyers is killing it with 2 goals 6 assists in 4 games
Just pointing out the danger of box score scouting, not that I'm implying you need a lesson or anything.

I think I largely agree with you on all three players.

Penguins losing, Predators losing.. Ducks tied.. Meh night for the tank..

I guess all that matters is Bruins do their part and keep losing.

Stay top 4 and the pick makes itself.

Top 2 IMO are Schaefer/Misa Either way . San Jose wins they go stud D
Next 2 are Hagens/Martone and I could def see Martone going before him.

Will the Bruins take a 5-10 center? Do they take him if they see him as a wing even? If they don't see him as a center Frondell is the easy choice at 4 then.
A friend of mine has a dog that looks sorta like yours

Which brings you to my theme - Misa has looked like dog shit in the playoffs per people I follow who have watched a -10?

Martone I like and he’s my guy but in 94 questions he has never read or seen Harry Potter ?

However he does put ketchup on steak - medium rare at that so I forgive him

I’m team Martone over Misa

I like all 3 centers and Hagens is only 18 and I would have no problem picking him anywhere in top 6

I haven’t deep dived into Frondell like the other 4 top F but I think I’m going to like him

I only watched two McQueen games. The same two Sweeney watched here in Lethbridge.

If he walked away thinking “that’s our guy”, he and I have VERY different views on what is needed on the Bruins.

I watched a Moncton game this playoffs( they were lucky to win it actually) and all their highlights.Desnoyers is a really smart player.I also watched a game between Halifax Drummondville and Cape Breton Bai Comeau.Been following Q a long long time.

Dont make the mistake of over valuing a small game sample. We have prospects who had sensational playoff runs (Lysell, Lauko) and it’s made no difference in their NHL ability or upside.
