NHL Draft lottery III -May 5th- Bruins locked into 5th before ping pong balls.

Another goal for Desnoyers , the winning goal in an important moment in the third when huskies was in a coming back!
3-0 for Desnoyers team
I really love Desnoyers and Frondell. At this point as an uneducated fan I'd be more excited about them thn Hagens and Martone. At the end of the day that makes me feel really great about that top 6 still. O'Brien, Eklund or Mrtka are still awesome gets but don't excite me quite as much.

I also see McQueen seemingly climbing lists again. He's the guy I relly hope we avoid. Like I won't want to come to the board if we draft him. :)

This is where I'm at and it's honestly the reason why it's going to feel like it's taking forever to get to the actual draft.

I feel like I've had the same conversation about this exact scenario 20 times now haha. Hopefully the Bruins can get the 1st or 2nd pick and avoid the scary situation. Martone or O'brien would be fine consolation prize, but I've grown to like the top 5's games too much after watching a decent amount.

I would be excited about Martone in a vacuum, but still leaves you 1C-less.

I think people are writing O'Brien off too early. Everyone using old lists. He's going to be higher in the final rankings than people think, if rankings are your thing. And the final rankings are the ones that matter.
I like O'Brien much more than Desnoyers and McQueen.
He would be right behind Frondell, Eklund and Hagens ( assuming MM and MS are taken)

I love the LJ Mooney kid for a second round pick.
High motor, never quits, has great skill, can skate, high IQ, only issue is his size.
He reminds me of a quicker version of Stankoven.
Neely needs to add Ben Kindall to his list as well.
Scored 99 points this year / 15 points in 11 playoff games.
He is slated to go in the late first round, hope he falls to the second round.

I would be very happy with O'Brien. His hockey IQ, vision/creativity, and playmaking skills are off the charts.

My order, which is specific for the Bruins:

1. Misa
2. Desnoyers
3. Schaefer
4. Frondell
5. Martone
6. Hagens
7. O'Brien

Note, I have never seen any of the above play, except Hagens, so take with a grain of salt. This is going off scouting reports, stats and vitals (height, weight, birthdate).

Yeah absolutely and if he or anyone else climbs the final lists it will do more to increase the list of top guys more then decrease the value of the current top 6.

I'd love to see O’Brien, Eklund and even Mrtka extend this top tier if that's where the evidence leads us. More choices is always better.

This should be a great opportunity to improve the franchise no matter where we land.

Same players, just a little different order for me:

Misa/Schaefer - waffling here because we need a center, but this Schaefer kid looks great.
Frondell
Hagens
Desnoyers
Martone
O’Brien

I know the NHL draft is not the NFL draft but is there any scenario in which you would be happy as a fan if the Bruins traded back in this draft. Would a second round pick do it if you are moving from 2 to 5 or from 5 to 7 maybe in a scenario where you rate the list differently or if it gets extended by surprise picks like a Mrtka or McQueen going early?

I assume no but a high second round pick is a serious chip especially if you can still get one of your top guys.

I would be willing to trade down if we could still get Mrtka or trade up to get Desnoyers-might even trade Leaf pick for him.

He is definitely the riser in this draft. Really does not look like the Bruins get him. That is very much too bad.
I’d be happy with him, not so sure how interested the flyers are in him or their just throwing smoke screens.

Schaefer, Misa, Frondell and Hagens is who I want, followed By Desnoyers and Martone.

Hopefully they don’t fall to 7,but who really knows.I only think that if they pick 7th it could be a number of players Mrtka, McQueen or O’Brien stand out, but the later they pick, scares me on what they might do.

O'Brien or Mrtka works for me at 7.

I think if they pick 2 they have to make the pick.

If they pick 5 maybe as long as it’s no more than 2-3 picks and they get a real nice sweetener like a 2026 first, but then again it all depends on whose there at 5. If one of Hagens or Frondell are there you take them. ( Misa or Schaefer as well)

No a second round pick is not even close to value for that. If for example you were offered something like Wright and the #6 for #2, then you'd have to consider it. All prospects have some bust potential, and no one in this draft is immune from that.
