NHL Draft lottery III - Bruins locked into 5th before ping pong balls.

Just back from the Wildcats vs Huskies game 1. Desnoyers played pretty well had 1 G a big one at the time and 1 A. Loke although he took a couple dumb penalties, he made up for it with the go ahead goal, a nasty wrister from the point. I think Desnoyers would be a solid pick for the Bruins. Another guy I was impressed with from Rouyn-Noranda was Bill Zonnon, easily their best player and could be a power forward type, sort of like Knies. Desnoyers, just has some of Bergeron in him and at times can be more of a skilled guy, just a knack for scoring big goals at crucial times in the game.

Zonnon is really a good hockey player and a solid head on shoulder ! Will play in nhl

Whats the NHL commissioner line of succession look like? Is Jeremy Jacobs close enough to the top that he could run the lottery if need be?

I know it's a joke, but the NHL actually doesn't run the lottery. It's handled by a private company that wouldn't risk it's other businesses by taking part in any kind of draft fixing, no matter what most fans think.

Yes I agree 100%, Rouyn-Noranda actually out played Moncton most of this game, but the Wildcats goalie Rousseau was good and Wildcats had some key goals. Zonnon is for sure an NHL player, surprised he is not ranked higher.

Depends who is there, if a guy ranked in the first round falls to the second, maybe they package their picks to move up.

In general I don't think the value is there, but if you love a guy, have ranked in the top 15-20, then maybe the value would be there, but in general I think you are just better off taking your two chances in the 50s and maybe one of the lottery tickets pays off

Thanks for the update.
Correct me if I am wrong, but Desnoyers played against the weaker teams in the "Q", being in the Eastern Conference?
The top two teams were in the Western division and overall the talent is better.
Scouts need to take this into consideration when evaluating him / along with his stats.
I watched the majority of the goals he scored this year on youtube and I would say at least 50% were very weak goals that any decent goalie would have stopped.
Not knocking the player, however, based on what I have read and watched, if Frondell, Eklund or Martone are around for us to pick, I would take one of them vs Desnoyers.

Watching highlights of some of his goals, The opposing teams honestly look pretty bad in defending.

I know nothing about the quality of the teams but it looks unimpressive to the highlight watcher that I am.

Drafting is hard.

If we win, the draft lottery and take the D man would anybody trade Mason L. plus our unprotected 2026 first for the second overall and we get Misa?
