NHL Draft lottery III - Bruins locked into 5th before ping pong balls.

To me, there is a clear #1. Then a clear # 2. Then a clear #3.

4 to 7 i can make a case for either one of them.

Schaefer
Misa
Hagens
I find it interesting that you feel there is a clear #3 (not disagreeing with you, since you are far more informed and knowledgeable ) . Some of the prospects have more hockey to play between now and draft day , but you feel top three are a cut above the rest correct ?

I think our eyes see the same thing, Dom.

That's the whole reason I'm pretty optimistic about the Bruins future if Hagens falls. I think it's really going to come down to Nashville. Philly likes Desnoyers? That's sad because I love the player, but if that means I can get my grubby little bits on James Hagens then I'm pretty damn excited. I really think he would mesh perfectly with Geekie and Pasta.

I refuse to get overly excited about the situation until it's right in front of me though. I just can't realistically see Hagens getting down to us.

Imagine having this press conference and then come draft time they reach for a mid to late first with #5 like Hensler or Murtagh. We know how much its going to pain Sweeney to draft a CHLer.

This is pretty much not true, though. Look at the recent drafts and the players in the system: Poitras, Brunet, Mast, Harrison, Edward, Johansson.

There will be a very good prospect there, but I don't think anyone in this draft is an elite talent. They have a really good change with coming out of here with a 1st line talent. Just not an elite 1st liner. But who knows. They got an elite talent much later in the 1st when they took Pasta. But in general I don't love this draft.
Misa has elite talent. Kid had 120 + points . Came into Major Junior underage at 14. Whoever gets him gets a future star.

Most this fan base has been sleeping on him. I’ve been overly high on him since his worlds showing. He might end up being latvias best player ever if he continues his upward swing.

Locmelis doesn't have a shot at displacing Helmuts Balderis as the GOAT of Latvian hockey players. When your nickname is "The Electric Train" on a team with Kharlamov,
Makarov and Maltsev, kind of speaks volumes how good you are.

I can see Hagens falling past the Bruins, possibly to 7th or 8th.
