I want nothing to do with Zegras, especially not giving up top picks for him. Maybe Mittlestadt for him?If we stay at 5th or 6th then draft for sure. Zegras looks intriguing maybe trade leafs 1st for him?

If ducks gm drunk enough whynot.I want nothing to do with Zegras, especially not giving up top picks for him. Maybe Mittlestadt for him?
I just see more Lawson Crouse than Tkachuk in Martone. That would be me. I take Misa over him and I think about Frondell but Martone could be a real game and attitude changer on Boston. If you pass on the next Brady Tkachuk for a guy that becomes a third line center it sets you back such as the 2015 draft. Well almost as much, that draft is the reason the Bruins are in the posistion now.
I mean…I’m not drawn to him because I have any NHL player equivalent expectations, I think he’s got the raw materials to be something special in his own right - only potentially, though, as always (or at least usually)He’s not Brady Tkachuk. He is really slow like Tkachuk, but he’s more in the Matthew archetype but doesn’t play with the antics of either of them. He doesn’t just plant his ass in front of the net - much better passer than Brady and better through the NZ. But he’s not a Tom Wilson type. Hes like a dirt poor man’s Rantanen but slower.
To me, he has the highest bust potential of the guys in this range.
He is a QB at Edina and apparently has received serious interest from Kent St and
Marshall. Now several hockey players from the US were QB's in HS, such as Andrew Copp, Anders Lee and Paul Mara who ultimately chose hockey, all taken in different rounds, but I wonder if he wants to make his mind up in a couple of months.
No we have the Next One in Providence
The Locmelis Monster
He’s been in Providence 2-3 weeks and he’s gotta be close to leading the team in scoring
Stud
Book it
In other words you like him because he’s big lolI mean…I’m not drawn to him because I have any NHL player equivalent expectations, I think he’s got the raw materials to be something special in his own right - only potentially, though, as always (or at least usually)
Because of the skating? I like Lawson Crouse but I don't think he ever had the projections or NHL comparisons that Martone is getting.I just see more Lawson Crouse than Tkachuk in Martone.
I don’t wanna do this with you so I’ll pass lolIn other words you like him because he’s big lol
And….the legendary Hal Gill.
It's better than being small .....his compete level, size, skill combo is what excites me ..but yeah, he could bust but I don't think he'd quit. I'd take Frondell over him ... O'Brien I'd toss a coinIn other words you like him because he’s big lol
Martone is the only wild card. Anyone could be enamored with thinking he could be another Tkachuk type.
Martone sounds like a great choice. I like the nastiness factor. We need to remember that we’re going to reach for a guy projected to go deep in the second round. This is the only concerning thing I have seen about Martone. Don't like Buttons the clown.
Hal allegedly was a better football than hockey prospect. I liked him more than most, but I believe it.And….the legendary Hal Gill.
For me, Martone and Hagens are tied #4 in this draft because their potential is so high, but I also believe their floor is low. Martone's biggest issue is his speed, and if he will have the time and space at a professional level to make some of the plays resulting in goals currently in the OHL. From all reports he's a hard worker and has a great character which is evident by being named captain of his OHL team and at the world juniors for team Canada, so if he does need to put in the work at the NHL-level, he seems like someone that will do so in order to succeed.Basically everywhere I have seen and read says Martone is a future top line RW. Not a top 6, a top 3.
Not sure why he’s being picked apart while a guy line OBrien has some real physical questions and have actually seen Cody Glass’ name been tossed around.
Or he could be another Tyler Boucher. Sometimes, you just don't know what way a prospect is going to go in their development. I do like Martone a lot more than Boucher at the same age though.
The only advantage a team has with drafting Hagens, is that you can keep him in his current program for another year, which would be better competition vs Martone playing another year in the OHL, which he has nothing else to prove. For me, Martone and Hagens are tied #4 in this draft because their potential is so high, but I also believe their floor is low. The team drafting Hagens also has the advantage of getting James Hagens. The only advantage a team has with drafting Hagens, is that you can keep him in his current program for another year, which would be better competition vs Martone playing another year in the OHL, which he has nothing else to prove.
I am assuming that both are not good enough to make it to the NHL next year.
Who is this guy.
