We need skill. Like, badly.

That answer is semi tongue in cheek but we’ll have four picks tomorrow and there are tons of high skill wingers in this draft. Take it easy.

Pretty dissapointed in picking him at 28 despite having no knowledge of him as a player other than a single paragraph provided by another poster.
he as ranked 24th by Sportsnet. here's write up on Dobber:
May 2020 – The speed and skill to keep up with the modern game and the tendencies of a pest that can frustrate opposing teams is what Greig brings. He sees the ice well and makes plays in the offensive zone utilizing his speed to create separation and back off defenders. He doesn’t hesitate from grinding a play out along the boards or battling a bigger defender at the net-front if it means his team gains an advantage. His compete level is consistently high and he never seems to stop running his mouth. Other teams will hate him but his team loves him. He finds space in the offensive zone to take advantage of the opposition’s defensive shortcomings. He projects as a middle-six scorer who will be a thorn in the side of the opposition

Draft Dynasty did a video on him not too long ago if you guys want to take a look. He's got some solid hands i'm happy with our first round.

Very good pick, Ridley is another difficult player to play against, good in all three zones, solid pick & three solid players out of the 1sr rd, not bad. .

It's not that Greig doesn't have skill, it's that he has middle-6 skill, and we need top-6 skill at forward. We have sooo many guys in the system who are similar.

I'm getting Pinto vibes from the Greig pick, so I'll save myself from eating as much crow as I had to last year.

Tough to be anything but ecstatic leaving the first round of the draft with the three guys we have regardless of (maybe) picking them a few spots too high.

Same was said about Norris and Formenton and these dudes just put up 30 goals each in their rookie season as pros.

people keep crying for skill and skill, calm down it’s coming. Belleville was the highest scoring team before the season ended and all being lead with our top prospects.

We are building a similar team to Boston which is a team that remains competitive for years and dismantles just skilled teams in the playoffs. Super exciting.
