The argument for losing more really would be that had we done so we would have protected our draft slot better. For example Boston got f***ed hard and lost two slots in this draft but they're only dropping from 7th to 5th.

That being said, we've got 1 (maybe two) picks in the top 13. Hopefully our scouts find something there.

This is why you can't count on winning the lotto to jumpstart your franchise.

No one had NY or Utah winning the draw. Some years it's chalk. Some years it's not. Tanking doesn't guarantee you anything. Draft, develop, and acquire talent in other ways instead of assuming you're getting #1 or #2.
