Prospect Info: Draft 2025: Is it too late to tank? Asking for a friend

I know it's been beaten to death but trading Rakell at the TDL removes that much more talent from the lineup (a PPG since the TDL iirc), gives you another 1st+prospect, and probably ends up with the team losing another game or two over the course of the rest of the season.

Razor thing margin for error. Just happy that this isn't a draft where they're potentially missing out on a potential superstar slated to fall like Michkov or Demidov.
Dont worry. Dubas is keeping him so they can finish 22nd next year instead of 25th and his shooting percentage will regress so his trade value will decline.

Do you have Ryder on ignore or something

Let me clarify, my post was directed at Ryder and Guins71 for the "they're too busy cheering on meaningless goals" and "there are only 8 good players in the draft" posts.
If it's directed at me, then quote me directly! I'm not shy! And there are 8 good players who have garnered separation. This isn't a revolutionary concept.

Remember the bet I posed to you? You clammed up then didn't you. Not one word.

You wanna debate the matter BRING IT! And do so directly. Or turn tail when confronted like you normally do. :thumbu:

yeah I mean it’s legit pointless to interact with certain posters dude
Yes, and you're one of them. But since you act cowardly, you won't see this post, now will you. :D

Yeah my post was directed at the "they're going to go on a hot streak and finish outside of the top-10" posts, which are now "there are only 8 good players in the draft so picking #9 is a failure".
If it's directed at those individuals then quote us directly. Otherwise you look like a passive aggressive beta who got kicked around a lot.

Yeah, I mean, I don't really think the later 1st they could've gotten or the prospect were elite assets or anything but more is always good for a team trying to soften the blow of the post-Sid years. That, coupled with the team realistically being that much worse, really feels like a missed opportunity. I'm skeptical Rakell will replicate the production next year, and that teams will be as ready to trade 1sts. We'll see though.

Just impatiently waiting for the draft lotto to see where this team ends up, and whether or not NYR sends over this pick or next season's.

So what's the best possible situation for the final day of games? Pens lose in regulation, and the Sabres get at least one point? I don't think the Pens can jump the Flyers if I'm reading correctly, because of regulation wins. The 7th overall pick seems to be the best case scenario.

Yeah #7 is the best case scenario, which seems pretty possible with the Penguins playing the Capitals and the Sabres playing the Flyers.

This team can't even suck properly. Regardless, all draft picks are irrelevant as long as the eternal Bostonian is behind the bench.
By the time they're here and contributing in earnest Sullivan won't be here. So, it's not irrelevant.

Hopefully Ducks can at least get this to OT to lock us into 8th at worst. But I ain't putting any hope in them again.

Damn the Ducks have given up 41 shots in 49 minutes, crazy they're still in this one. The Penguins are relying on Husso holding the fort for the last 11 minutes.

Man why tf is Winnipeg playing Hellebuyck lol. They've lost in the playoffs multiple times because he was clearly gassed already

Ducks have to win. If we win tomorrow in REG we overtake the ducks.

No they don’t. That has them tied in regulation wins, next tiebreaker is wins in general.

Even if the Penguins win, they’re tied in points and regulation wins but lose the total wins tiebreaker.

The first tiebreaker is regulation wins, and the second tiebreaker is regulation + overtime wins.1 day ago
