FFS how do you lose to that fwd groupYeah, they got obliterated in the 3rd. 4-2 AVS.
THAT close to a guaranteed 8th OA or better. This sucks!FFS how do you lose to that fwd group
Our 2026 draft pick lol…
I was at the game. I laughed when I saw a ducks fan with a Harkins jersey and then was pissed the blew a two goal lead at home. I’d love to have MacTavish as a penguin.Womp womp
Finished up the Mrtka tape. Easily the most adept defensive player in the draft for me. Just not sure there's enough going the other direction to make it a worthwhile investment.
I feel like if were lucky enough to get to 5 we’ll just slide to 7 once the lottery happensSo the Pens can finish anywhere from 5th thru 9th.
Rangers can finish anywhere from 9th thru 13th. Big game tonight for them with Florida
Other big game tonight:
DAL @ DET
I think you’re right starting at like 7/8likely. I don't think there is really a tangible difference in the prospects that will be available in the #6-#9 range, and #5 would take a lot of pretty unlikely things to happen.
I have cooled on him but I will say he’s got monster upside. if he develops into a 6’6 wet blanket that can sniffs out play after play after play and chips in 5-25-30 a year….
What is that worth in a redraft? Top 5? Top 3?
I think he goes 6-12 range but can see a team having him incredibly high on their list. Like 2-3OA high.

I think sitting 6 on draft day could be huge tho. Someone is gonna want Frondell/Desnoyers high, maybe both. Same for Mrtka/Smith.
it’s unlikely but I can see Martone or Hagens getting to 6 tbh.
Who knows. Point is 5 is obv the best. But I think there’s a big difference between 6 and 7-10.He screams Buffalo to me, he fills a huge organizational need for them and should be primed to go right around the Sabres pick.
Desnoyers to Philly and Mrtka to Buffalo are two picks I think make a ton of sense.
I think it's possible but it would probably require Chicago to slide due to the draft lottery.
Chicago allegedly loves Frondell but I don't think they'll take him at #2 overall. However I think taking him over Hagens or Martone at #3/4 overall is possible. I could see the top-5 going like:
1. San Jose: Schaefer
2. Nashville: Misa
3. Chicago: Frondell
4. Boston: Martone/Hagens
5. Philly: Desnoyers
Which does push one of Martone or Hagens to #6. I think it's unlikely but it's not impossible.
Martone screams a Boston Bruins player to me, but I'm skeptical Boston would pass up on drafting Hagens when he plays at BC. Could really see them going either way there.
having your choice of who you pick as to being stuck with who's left is huge. imoAt this point, I don't really even think the Penguins final draft position really makes much of a difference.
I feel like Desnoyers is gonna get a lot of attention from the Bruins and Flyers as well tbh. And I've had a gut feeling all along that McQueen's gonna be a guy GMs can't help but go after because he's tall.
I kinda don't really give a shit one way or another if this team cannot somehow luck into Martone or Hagens. Well, that's not true; I really want to avoid McQueen. Other than that--Frondell, Eklund, Desnoyers, whatever.I hope we stay away from Desnoyers if he falls…just avoid the Q please lol

I wouldn't take McQueen if the Rangers pick was 20th. Have a little ambition, man.If they have and use the Rangers pick, I don’t mind them taking a flyer on McQueen outside the top 10…
Yeah I find it hard to care pretty quick in this class. If Eklund, Smith, etc are gone.. do whatever you want.If they have and use the Rangers pick, I don’t mind them taking a flyer on McQueen outside the top 10…
