I like him and Nestrasil, just imagine they'll go between our 1st round pick and 2nd round picks.

I like Nestrasil too a bit later in the draft. The impression I have with Nestrasil is he’s not yet fully confortable in his body. His skating is decent but can be a bit choppy. He’s very raw.

I like Prokhorov before. He hits more often and harder. His skating is more fluid. He’s a better stick handler. And I just like the fact Prokhorov’s brain is wired to just force the puck to the net under all circumstances… Nestrasil might have a bit better playmaking, but I find Prokhorov is more regularly involved and gets more puck touches.

If there was ever a player whose game looks like it will not translate to the pros it would be Carbonneau. He doesn't use his team at all and still fails most of his drives. He's going to have to revamp his whole game because that will not fly against actual defenders. Would not pick him in the first round.

I'd be pretty thrilled if we did land him...

His personality, attitude and trajectory all line up well with the culture KH is building here, and with our depth at LD & strong development program, he'd have a long runway to keep building on his skating. Dont think they'd flinch at that get Ven his athleticism and demonstrated commitment to improving.

That being said, I wouldn't be against Aitcheson, even if he is a LHD. The reason is right now, in the NHL, most of the teams plays a LHD on the right side, even on the top 4. The reality is their is a big lack of quality RHDs in the NHL.

So if Aitcheson is the BPA when we draft, he brings a lot of other things we need to draft him even if LHD is our strong spot.

Schmidt is an absolute no no no.

Wait, he's saying Aitcheson is a bad skater ? What ? It's literally one of his strongest suits, as recognized by pretty much every actual dedicated OHL scouts. He's not Quinn Hughes, but he's definitely mobile. I sure as hell never saw him as a slow skater in my viewings.

I think they just mean he's choppy.. but it's like Lane Hutson, optically it doesn't look the best, output wise, it performs.

Yeah it's just the optics sometimes takes over in scouting than actual output.
