Prospect Info: Draft 2025 Habs you're on the clock

I'd personally like for Montreal to keep both picks and sign a UFA C.
I think we might be the ones to sign Sam Bennett or go after his teammate Aaron Ekblad to fill the RHD need. For a while I’ve had this feeling that we’d sign one of the Panthers UFAs, can’t explain why.

One of #16 or #17 is gonna be packaged with one our 2nds and 3rds to move *up* imo

I think they want Mrtka bad

Draft a forward you love after, or trade the pick

Loving all the possibilities they gave themselves
Where does this player rank in your books?

Spence is a very talented forward, to say the least. In 65 games with the Erie Otters in the OHL during 2024-2025, the 6-foot-1 left-handed forward collected 73 points, including 32 goals.
It will be interesting to see him paired with Montreal Canadiens prospect Michael Hage.
Hage, who decided to stay another season in the NCAA, will surely benefit from Spence's arrival at Michigan to boost his personal statistics.
After posting 34 points in 33 games in his first NCAA season, Hage could very well surpass that mark if he plays alongside Spence this season.
The Canadiens prospect already seems very happy about Spence's arrival on his

Trade 1 pick up for Desnoyers, Martin, Frondell, or Mrtka

Trade 1 pick back for Ravensbergen or Fiddler

I know he's small but I'd be very interested in Reschny too outside of the top-20

Reschny is like Mesar but actually good, quick decisive moves and doesn't give up the puck, also has a good left handed one timer

They will have to add substantially to reach for Desnoyers etc. Not sure they will have someone to dance with.

That’s not going to happen but they can probably get into the 8-10 draft range using their 16-17th picks and a sweetener.

they probably need both picks to get into top 10. Maybe Boston or Buffalo? Teams who need quantity over quality? who knows.

I can't wait to see what they are going to do with these 2 picks. I have big confident with that management. They will do the right thing, like they do over these 3 last drafts...

Obviously trading for young players with potential is good in principal

When they all fail is when it becomes an issue, or at the very least you have to ask questions about the ability of the pro scouting

Obviously nobody gets everything right, and it doesn’t mean they should stop trying, but they are open for criticism for when their trades don’t work out. This isn’t a critique of the philosophy behind acquiring young players, just a critique of the result when the player fails to meet management’s expectations

I’m not expecting them to be perfect, but I am expecting them to deliver better players via trade than they have so far.
