Prospect Info: Draft 2025 - Everyone is trading up, but no one seems to be trading down edition

Now that the 2nd pick is secured I think you need to push your chips in to get into the top 6 to draft Hagens or Martone.
Drafting Hagens scares me. Not because of the talent but because he may pull a Tavares and go to his hometown team once his entry contract is up.

I think if Hagens or Martone fall past 5 we should start making calls and I might even be making some calls if they're gone but Martin is still around by 7 or 8.
I don't know that anybody but Martone or Hagens is worth it, but Martin and Desnoyers are at least interesting as well.

Here's my prediction for the Draft: Dubas will try to trade up, but nobody picking above him will be willing to move their pick in the end, so he won't be able to.
The folks on these boards will spend at least the next decade complaining that he didn't move up.
(Okay, this last part is a gimme, because no matter what happens, folks around here will complain about it for the next decade )

Spitballin, but value wise it works with PP.

NAS gets 11th, 12th and 73rd, value 64.38

PIT gets 5TH, 26TH and 149th value 64.38

Wish we could do this.

Nobody says a bunch of stuff without saying nothing quite like my man Friedman.

Every year there's talk of how teams are listening on their top 5 picks and blah blah blah and then the draft arrives and everyone just makes their picks instead of making trades.

Anyone who thinks Dubas is going to trade into the top 5 or even the top 10 shouldn't get their hopes up too high.

I don't think we can get into the top five. I was just trying to design a fair value model. I do however think it's quite possible to get up to 8th OA.

Any chance we take a shot at LJ mooney if he's still there in the 3rd round? We have 3 3rd round picks
I was just reading about him. I saw he’s projected to go round 3-6. Pretty wide range which is typical for a player like that. I’d be interested, but I have a bias towards local kids.
