So I guess because of the extra travel distances, this series is the 2-3 split format, starting on the road in Texas, then 3 games at home.
Texas swept their series. Hopefully they are nice and rusty for game 1So I guess because of the extra travel distances, this series is the 2-3 split format, starting on the road in Texas, then 3 games at home.

I think I like this kid. Trotz will probably lose him on waivers or trade him for a 34 year old bottom 6 winger.
The Ads didn't not get any favors from the refs or linesmen tonight.Ads give up a goal with 4 seconds left in the first...
Edit. Not happening tonight. 4-1 Texas in the third
Only good thing about starting on the road, they only need one of these 2 games to be in good shape
It's Nichol and the pro-scouts. Trotz doesn't deal with Milwaukee's AHL contracts.Gotta give huge credit to Nichol (or Trotz, ugh) for finding guys like Ylonen and Lucchini

Seems like they were part of all that trade schmozzle that got us all the new no names we had after the trade dedlineThose players are listed as having a contract with Nashville per PuckPedia.
It's almost like Trotz "serial winners" concept works with a competent coach or something....I think Nichol was pretty aggressive in patching holes for the Ads this season. In terms of mid-season moves. I'm not sure about the off-season ones like Lucchini, Bellows, Hinostroza, Murray... those were probably a bigger team effort including Trotz to consciously bolster the Milwaukee lineup in advance of the season.
But the mid-season tweaks that brought in Ylonen, Denisenko, Friedman, Rolston, De Leo... I think those were great. They were really active. Ivan, Reedy, Bjork were others, they didn't all pan out perfectly. But there was obviously a very conscious effort to bolster the lineup after injuries and promotions changed the outlook. Trotz probably had to rubber-stamp at least. Or send the word around to his brethren GMs. Based on Nichols' requests, if not his specific player identification targets?
It's great, because a lot of teams I think would just shrug and say, well, that's a farm team, that's the way the cookie crumbles, if we lost players to injury/recall/waivers it's just what happens, and many teams wouldn't have been so active in patching the holes.
So do the Admirals. They are missing L'Heureux. Bellows has stepped up his game, as have Kemell and Weisblatt. Svechkov has come through at Center, which was a big help to the team.Good to see Kemell stepping up with an important playoff goal. The big club badly needs a goal scorer like him to actually pan out.
I could stand a little less excitement during their games. Trailing 1-0 for 50+ minutes was a bit much in an elimination game. The Ads sure like living on the edge. Holy shit.
