The second line is Svech centering Ozzy and Bellows. Mutter just hammered #90. Marino squashed #14. Kemmel flattened #55. At the other end, #26 was in Murray's crease. The players piled up, but no calls.
Somebody hit Ozzy after the whistle and Ozzy goes to the box for Roughing. A rain of boos come down!!! Several chants directed at the stupid refs! Kemell buried somebody by the Ads bench. The crowd of 5,000, is fired up! #43 goes after Murray and takes some heavy lumber from Ufko. They both get 2 minutes. I could not hear what the penalties were. Puck is loose in the Rockford crease. It was between Cal's skates. Lucchini is out with Denisenko and Rolston. Gravel has some words for #78, Aiden Thompson. The Linesmen jump between them. With 9:20 remaining, the SOG are 6-4 Rockford. Bellows with a big hit on #55 in front of me. Bellows gets punched in the face by #43 and no call. The fans are booing the Linesman for not dropping the puck. It has been a problem tonight!
Marino and Mutter are the Smash Brothers. Pavel also got a hit. An Admiral took a stick to the face and ref #96 (Allen) calls NOTHING!!! My daughter says it was Ozzy again. He did not get up for about 10 seconds. That ref needs to be fired! #67 just punched Bellows, no call.
Korchinski cross checking Lucchini in the SW corner after the whistle. No call by #96. Rolston is slew footed in the Neutral Zone and No Call. Karl Taylor calls ref #96 over to yell at him during a break! Rockford with an intentioal Offside that was not called. The officials stink like a corpse!!! Mayhew pushes Svechkov offside. That should have been Interference. Livingstone without a helmet.
In a season of POOR officiating, this crew stands out AS THE WORST that I have seen! Somebody will be leaving via stretcher and it will be the on-ice officials fault.
SOG 11-6 Rockford, mostly because the Admirals were getting mugged in the first period, much like the movie Slap Shot. I expect a major response from the Ads in Period 2. Murray took at least 3 hits from IceHog sticks. It could have been more.
O'Reilly is talking to ref #43. Gravel comes out wearing a cage! He has not worn one all season. I will guess that he took a stick to the face, as did several other Admirals players in Period 1, with No calls.
O'Reilly scores on a wrap around at 30 seconds! Kemell had an assist.
Another goal 15 seconds later by Svechkov on a backhander glove side from the low slot. Ozzy and Bellows with the assists.
Marino flattens #67(?) in the center circle. #42, Nolan Allen, challenged Marino and took about 20 punches to his face. The Linesman let it go as Marino pounded his face into the glass and the boards. Both got 5 for Fighting. SOG 11-9 at 3 minutes into the period.
Murray stones the IcePigs first SOG, 4 minutes into the period. Ozzy on the dot with the puck. He was tripped down from behind and NO Call. What a surprise!
#42 comes in with a high stick against Svechkov. No call. In the scrum, Bellows helmet was knocked off. No call. Icing called on the Ads. That was a BS call. Ads player tripped at their Blue Line and no call.
At the midway point, the SOG 15 each. The Ads have missed a 3rd goal three times so far. Mutter, Bellows and Rolston each had quality chances. (Missing L'Heureux).
There is a hole in Murray's crease. They don't bring the goal attendant out to fix it! Stupid refs!!! Just 5:11 to go. SOG 18-16 Ads. Now 19-16 at 3:43 remaining. Friedman and Statsney each knocked down an IcePig in the low slot. That is a change!
Rolston took a dirty hit from #26, Mayhew. Now it is a huge scrum in front of the Ads bench. Rolston and another Ads player put #26 on his back. Rolston and Denisenko get 2 for Roughing. Mayhew, #26, rammed Rolston's face into the top of the boards with 27 seconds left. Mayhew got only 2 minutes for Roughing. "I'm blind, I'm deaf, I want to be a ref" chant. SOG 20-16. The Ads had 14 SOG, Rockford had 5, in Period 2.
The Ads killed the penalty, but the IceHogs got a few SOG. Commesso was caught out of the goal on a bad board bounce, but the Ads don't score, again. About 16 minutes remaining. Korchinski punched Bellows in the back of the head, no call. Bellows checked him hard at the other end.
Denisenko grabbed and pulled down. OMG, it was called!!! Rockford with lots of holding and interference on their first PK. (Over $3k for the 50-50 raffle. Maybe 5200 here?)
Kemell with a punishing hit on Allen in the SW corner. Ouch! Sanford trips Lucchini to get the puck. Bellows flattens Sanford from behind. No Calls for any of that. For once, I like it. Under 10 minutes to go.
Rockford scores after some goonery to make it 2-1 Ads. Milwaukee coming back with pressure on the offense. SOG 27-21 Ads, under 7 minutes. Commesso has given up a lot of rebounds this game, but the Ads have not made him pay for it.
Rockford pulls Commesso at 3:40. Gravel was PULLED DOWN and Rockford scores with 3:27 left to tie it. What BS! Karl Taylor looks angry from 200 feet away! Commesso trips Denisenko and ref #43 makes no call. What BS! SOG 11-10 Rockford. We go to OT after a 15 minute break. Ads total SOG 30-27.
Milwaukee could have 3 to 5 goals in this game. They need to win this game!
Gravel talking to ref #43 for awhile during the skate around. Five-on-five. Twelve seconds in and Rockford scores low and just inside the left post. IceHogs win Game 1, in front of 5119 fans. How disappointing.
Rockford seemed like they were trying to Injure Ozzy, Gravel, Bellows and maybe Rolston the whole game. The idiot refs let them get away with it. The Ads need some payback in Game 2.
Maybe send out Pavel's line with Mutter and Marino to go after Mayhew and the Rockford team captain? That seems fair after what I saw tonight.
Because maybe he's gonna be the one who saves us
