Has Mark Friedman showed up at all yet? That trade was more than 10 days ago? :dunno:
Friedman was one of the 6 Dmen on Friday versus Henderson. He had 1 SOG.

Del Gaizo scored the first two goals of the game and was the #1 Star. Statsney had a 1G, 1A and was the #2 Star. Marino had an assist to be the #3 Star in a 6-2 win over Henderson (Las Vegas) in front of 6200 fans. SOG were 29-23 Ads. Kemell had a PPG for Milwaukee.

Both goals scored on Chrona were on the PP. I believe that Milwaukee is 5-0 versus the Silver Knights all time.

On Saturday, they have a chance to make it 6-0.

Denisenko was ejected late in Period 2 for Charging. De Leo served his 5 minutes and scored the 6th goal.

The first place Admirals (27-17-3-4) host the 10th and last place Henderson Silver Knights (20-29-2-0).

Mitch McLain is the only ex-Ads player on this team. Mason Geertsen, #4, is the one who injured Kemell in January of 2024 at Henderson with a late check behind the play in Period 1. He was ejected in Period 2 for coming off of the bench at 0:00 and trying to start a fight.

The ice looks soft by the boards (again). It is Hockey Fights Cancer Night. For the honorary puck drop, the two team captains had a long talk!

Murray is in goal. At LD is Gravel, with Statsney. LW is Denisenko, O'Reilly at C and Ozzy. The Ads are wearing their red jerseys and hockey stockings.

Bjork was dragged down by a horse collar in the SW corner and no call. Then Ufko was Tripped about 2 minutes into the game, which was called. De Leo (3) scores 5-hole on a rebound of Statsney's (11) shot. Friedman (6) had the other assist on a cross ice pass at the Blue Line. The Ads nearly scored again, seconds later. HSK holds Lucchini's glove and Jake is called is called for Holding. HSK scores a PPG at 6:11 to tie the game. Poor officiating!!!

Marino, Pavel and Wall are up front, with Gravel and Statsney. HSK does a lot of cross-checking. It is how they played defense last season.

O'Reilly centers Ozzy and Denisenko, with Del Gaizo and ?. Kemell called for a Slashing minor that I and my daughter did not see. The Ads had the puck behind their own net at the time for a possible break out. Ads killed the PP with 8:00 minutes remaining. SOG are 9-6 Ads. Kemell cross-checked from behind and he loses the puck. No call. Something happened in the NW corner as 3 Ads players go after #19, Brisson. He got 2 for Roughing as did Friedman. I will guess that he hit Matt Murray with his stick well after the whistle to get that reaction. #65, Mayo, goes for a minor for Cross-Checking Statsney in the SE corner. HSK killed the PP. SOG 13-11 Ads. HSK's motto is "Cross-Checking is Us!".

Period 2 begins with the same 6 Ads who started. After a line change, Ufko and Del Gaizo are on with?

HSK's team captain just high sticked an Ads player in front of their bench and way, way after the whistle! No call? How can that be?

Marino with a big hit, then he flipped a guy with a bigger hit by the Ads bench. HSK is only interested in going after the smallest Admirals, not any of the big ones! Ottenbreit and Friedman are paired. Friedman is not a fast skater.

With 10:12 remaining, HSK scores on a 2-on-1 against Friedman, who covered neither player!

HSK called for High Sticking with 9:55 remaining. The guy gets out of the box and Friedman lets him take an open shot from the slot! Marino hammers #12 in the NE corner and draws a fight from McLain, who lost badly. Marino was going to the box when #89 (McKay) grabbed him. He got 2 minutes for Roughing instead of the 10 minute Misconduct that he deserved! I thought that Marino was going to fight a fresh guy. The penalties were evened up as Marino got 2 minutes for Boarding.

Now Ozzy takes a stick from #44 well after the whistle as he was skating away from the HSK goal. That was not called. I am expecting a line brawl in the last 5:04. The refs are letting HSK get away with WAY TOO MUCH.

Ufko (6) scores 5-hole from the top of left circle just after the minors expired. Assist to Ozzy. SOG 19-17 Ads with 3:08 remaining. McKay slashed an Admiral (Friedman?) like 5 or 10 seconds after the whistle and Ottenbreit went after him! There was a Second Fight going on nearby. HSK #20 Fighting vs Denisenko, who does not seem to like his old team at all. McKay got 2 for Roughing and 5 for Fighting. The Ads have a PP with 2:31 remaining. Marino comes out of the box.

McLain, #75, comes out of the box to a chorus of boos from the 9000 fans. He was limping like he had a leg cramp. Total SOG were 23-18 Ads in a 2-2 tie.

Period 3 begins with Rolston joining Cal and Ozzy. I guess Denisenko is still in the box for Fighting? Bjork, De Leo and Reedy are up front. #44 interferes with Ozzy, then checks him, then holds his stick. No call. Kemell checks #25, who hits Kemell's linemate in the neck with a cross-check and no call. Wall knocks down #5 and #65 slashes Roston, no call. The Ads can't clear the puck and Murray has it go over his left leg pad for a score. He should have stopped that shot. The Ads have 11:30 to score. SOG are 24-20 Ads. Marino checks #13, who looked like he wanted to fight. Marino gets dumped in front of the HSK goal and #5, Chase Pauls, gets a Minor for Hooking with 8:20 remaining. Bjork gets mugged after the face-off and ref Kyle Bauman just watches it go on for 15 seconds. That was ridiculous!!!

I have not seen Denisenko this period. I keep seeing Rolston playing on different lines. HSK scores on a counterattack at 17:40 to make it 4-2. Murray comes off with around 1:30 left. Ads take a TO. I have an idiot yelling behind me that it is "too late now!". Ozzy called for Cross-Checking. I did not see it. Ads lose.

Lehigh Valley (26-19-5-2, 59 pts) is 5th in the Atlantic Division. The Cowbells (27-18-3-4, 61 pts) with their pale yellow warm up jerseys and gold hockey stockings, with MORE by the knees, are warming up and remain in first place in the Central. The game jerseys are also gold.

Former Admirals Parker Gahagen (G) #31 (2 games?) and Anthony Richard (LW) #90 (2 seasons?) return with the Phantoms. They have never played before!

The starters were Matt Murray in goal. At LD was Del Gaizo with Ufko. Up front at LW Reedy, Angello at C, with De Leo.

Chris Kittan, of SNL cowbell fame, dropped the ceremonial puck.

Del Gaizo (8) scores on Gahagen at 27 seconds. The assist went to Marino (8).
He chipped it in, a backhander, from thr hash mark in the slot. With 17:01 remaining, #15 gets a Hooking minor, drawn by Pavel. SOG are 2 a piece.

The red light came on, but no ref signal. The play is under review. Ozzy called for Slashing after he was punched in the throat by #7. No goal. The red light came on by mistake. The Ads have 5 SOG in 5 minutes, mostly from the defense! LVP has the last 7 SOG with 10:16 remaining.

With 6:24 remaining Marino (5) slaps one in at the left post! Assists to Wall (5) and Pavel (9). Ozzy throws a big hit against #6 in front of the Ads bench and they end up fighting in the far circle. Punch count was Ozzy 10, with a knockdown against Emil Andrae, who is the same size and had 2 punches. Linesman T J Lyle yelling "Off" when the Ads were not!

Ads in a goal mouth scramble near the end of the period, but they don't get the puck in the net, so it stays 2-0 Ads. The SOG were 14-10 LVP.

Ads score and the goalie did not know it! The play is under review at 1:27. It is a good goal by O'Reilly (7) with assists to Denisenko (15) and Weisblatt (16). That was 3 goals on 13 SOG. The 14th was a breakaway by Pavel that was stopped by Parker Gahagen. Del Gaizo loses the puck near the Ads goal and LVP scores. Richard got the assist less than 6 minutes into Period 2, making it 3-1. Ads called for Icing when their player got to the puck FIRST. The face-off was at Center Ice. #37 whacks Ozzy with his stick on an Icing. The ref was following them closely as the puck brought back. Richard is called for Holding at 9:00, the next puck drop.

On defense, it is Ottenbreit and Friedman, as usual. #7, Belpedio, which sounds like a disease, keeps slashing and punching people and never seems to get called! I can't repeat what the lady behind me just said about him. It isn't just me. LVP keeps giving out head shots. That will not go over well if the Ads score again!
Gravel with Statsney. Just 3:48 to go in Period 2. SOG 22-20 LVP. SOG 11-10 Ads.

Period 3 begins with an Ads PP. Kemell has the puck go off of the heel of his stick and it ends up in the Ads goal at 35 seconds, making it 3-2 Cowbells. This crowd of about 3931 gets LOUD a few times a period. You would think that 3 times that number was here. There are 12 minutes left in the period. Richard shoots from the top of the right circle and ties the game around 9:30.

Marino (6) scores his second goal of the game on a give and go with 9:56 left! What a pass by Kevin Wall (2), about 40 seconds after the LVP score. Four goals on 24 shots. Ottenbreit (1) eventually got an assist. Marino tried to cut in on a pass at the LVP Blue Line. He is looking for a Hatter with 8 minutes left. It is a Frosty Four game! Marino missed a loose puck in the low slot!

Gahagen heads for the bench at 3:11. The whistle blows at 3:08. He leaves again at 2:54. At 2:04, Ozzy scores a 170 foot ENG!!! It is 5-3 Admirals (Cowbells) on 26 shots. "OZZY, OZZY, OZZY" breaks out again. SOG were 9-6 LVP. The Ads stay 2 points ahead of Grand Rapids.

Marino was the #1 Star with 2G and 1A. It was Marino's first 2-goal game as a pro.

The #2 Star was Kevin Wall with 2A.

The #3 Star was Ondrej Pavel with 2A.

Ozzy had a Gordie Howe Hat Trick!!!

Cal O'Reilly has 18 points in his last 20 games.

The first place Milwaukee Cowbells (28-18-3-4) play the sixth place Iowa Wild (17-30-3-1) for the first time in nearly two months. The Ads are 7-3 recently, Iowa is 4-5-1-0 with a two game win streak.

Former Admiral forward Ben Simon is an assistant coach for Iowa.

The Cowbells are wearing their gold jerseys with matching hockey stockings. Chrona will be in goal. LD is Livingstone with Ufko. At LW Marino, C is Pavel with Wall, so they are starting a heavy line up!
9
The Cowbells have the only SOG in the first minute. O'Reilly's line came out next with Ozzy and Denisenko. The 3rd line is Reedy with Kemell and newcomer Jesse Ylonen (Oo-La-Nin), #56 (6'2" and 193#). He came from Tampa Bay in a trade for Anthony Angello. Bjork with Rolston and De Leo are the 4th line.

The starters came back out. Ufko just wiped out #43, Hunter Haight. The Wild score on a rebound at 6:29. A minute later, somebody dumped Friedman on his way to the Ads bench. Friedman got his number!

With 8:02 remaining, Marino just pulled a "Jimmy Huntington" by popping open the SE door with a check! Ouch!!!

Gravel shot a knuckleball from the left point. Wall hammered the puck from the opposite point and missed the net.

#74 just took out Chrona's legs. Ottenbreit decided to fight him at 18:08. The Cowbells have a PP! Ylonen (9) scores after 17 seconds with assists to Denisenko (16) and O'Reilly (27) at 18:25 to make it 1-1. SOG 9-7 Iowa.

For Period 2, Livingstone is with Friedman. The Cowbells score at 1:10. Ozzy passed to Gravel at the left point. Gravel fired a shot that the goalie seemed to stop. Ufko came from the right and tapped in the puck, which was behind Samuel Hlavaj, but not over the Goal Line!

Reedy scores over the left shoulder on a breakaway at 2:46, unassisted and shorthanded to make it 3-1 Cowbells. SOG are 10-9 Wild. The Cowbells have scored on every SOG so far in this period. Matier is playing with Friedman. Now it is Gravel with Ufko. Now Friedman with Livingstone. The Cowbells just missed scoring on a Neutral Zone turn over! Now it is Matier with Ottenbreit, so the Cowbells are playing 6 Dmen, they have just changed some partners.

Chrona with 2 stellar saves, the Cowbells don't clear and tic-tac-toe and it is in the net. Next time down Iowa shoots over Chrona's left shoulder to tie the game around 12 minutes.

Cowbells are SH again. Livingstone takes the puck away from 3 Wild players and fires it down the ice! Livingstone takes a puck to the chin and heads for the locker room at 3:55. There was no blood on the ice. Pavel just dragged 2 players to the net! No call. Friedman with Ottenbreit. Gravel with Ufko. Gravel goes off and Friedman comes back. Livingstone joins him with a few seconds on the clock. SOG 11-8 Iowa and 20-15 overall.

The players come out for Period 3. Pavel wins the face-off, but no SOG. Reedy ice dancing with #23 and away from Chrona. Friedman is playing the best that I have seen him. After 2.5 minutes of no SOG, Iowa gets three. Now 3 more as the Cowbells get one.

Kemell (12) with a seeing eye wrister through a lot of traffic and just inside the right post from left point. Assists to Ylonen and Friedman at 6:03. SOG 26-17 Wild. Hlavaj fell down on his own and was looking at the ref for a call. The fans were booing him!

Just 6:35 remaining. Turnover in the defensive zone leads to the tying goal by Iowa at 15:10. A terrible behind the Blue Line cross ice pass led to the goal.

Bjork shoots the puck off of Hlavaj's right shoulder and it goes up and hits the safety net. 6768 fans to set the cow bell record. Just 34 seconds left. Ads in the O-zone for a face-off. Wild offside at 22 seconds. SOG 15-9 Wild and 35-24 overall. We go to Over Time!

The OT starts with Cal, Ozzy and Ufko. Iowa wins the face-off and drops back to their Blue Line. Then they come up their right side and the Cowbells don't stop them. At nineteen seconds, Iowa shoots over Chrona's left shoulder, game over!

No defense, no making them change direction, no smacking their sticks! What a way to lose a game that you were up two goals early in Period 2.

The Ads played a school kids day game against the Texas Stars, starting at 10:30.

After one period, the score was 1-1

Texas jumped out to a 3-1 lead in Period 2.

The Ads had 13 SOG in Period 3 to tie the game at 3-3.

Texas won in a Shoot Out to stay in first place. It was the Stars 4th win in a row. They lead the Admirals by 2 points with 3 games in hand.

The 2nd place Ads (28-18-4-5, 65 pts) host the 4th place Chicago Wolves (27-22-3-0, 57 pts).

Murray is in goal. Ottenbreit and Matier on D. Bjork at LW, De Leo at C with Denisenko.

Both Weisblatt and Lucchini are back.

Turcotte hit De Leo in the head, with No Call. Bjork "bumped" Turcotte after the whistle. I thought there was going to be a fight. Chicago scores a SHG. Murray should have stopped the shot. Ufko covered the other player. Chicago just shot the puck into the stands, NO Call after a 3 official conference!

Friedman got a penalty after a Chicago player was holding his stick at the horn. He tried to yank it away and was called for Unsportsmanlike Conduct.

These refs are TRASH!!! Beau Halkidis #48, Casey Terreri #75. The latter did call Chicago for an obvious Interference.

SOG 6-5 Admirals.

The show people keep playing the music loud so the fans can't boo the refs!

Period 2 begins with Gravel and Ufko on defense. The penalty clock is a second behind the time clock! Ads score a SHG! Lucchini (15) thru his legs, then a backhander. Rolston (12) gets the assist at 44 seconds. Ufko (14) gets an assist later. Ufko with a big hit on the center, 6'7" Nikita Pavlychev. He later fell down behind the Ads (south) net. Martin, the Wolves goalie fell down behind his net. Ufko with a good hit on Brind'Amour. Gravel comes on for Friedman after he was slashed in the back well after the whistle. No call.

Murray just flattened Robidas!!!

In the NW corner, Pavel was pummeling #55, Scott Morrow, who left with blood streaming down his face. I did not see what started it, but I have never seen Pavel look so angry. He was throwing punches faster than Sugar Ray Leonard!
It all happened at 10:27.

Ottenbreit called for Tripping by Halkidis when he was trying to play the puck! Gravel says "soft call" to Halkidis. Lots of booing by the fans!!!

Ty Smith checks Ozzy late. Ozzy throws him to the ice! Something is wrong with the ice behind the Ads net. The refs don't seem to care! Friedman and Murray were sliding snow on to it. Delay of Game on the Ads on Livingstone. Eighteen seconds later Chicago called for High Sticking. They were lucky that it wasn't 4 minutes! Murray moving snow again and Halkidis ignores it as the net attendant opens the door with a shovel in his hand!

What indifference to PLAYER SAFETY by Halkidis. Fire his no good butt!!!

Now the teams are playing pond hockey in the last two minutes. SOG 5-4 Ads and 11-9 overall.

Period 3 has Scott Morrow returning to the ice. He missed the rest of period 2 after fighting with Hurricane Pavel. The puck suddenly stopped behind the Ads net (north end). Must be too much snow after 4 minutes of play? Ozzy with a big check to Fensore right in front of me!

The teams are trading pairs of SOG. With 12:35 remaining, it is 13 each. Both goalies with stellar saves. With 7:10 left the SOG are 17-16 Ads. It looked like Martin threw his stick at Rolston on a breakaway. Fensore gets a Minor for Slashing on the play. With 1:17 left in the penalty, Ufko is Tripped going to the net.

Kemell (13) snipes the upper right corner in 11 seconds, a 1-timer from the left dot. O'Reilly (29) and Lucchini (16) with the PPG assists and a 2-1 lead. Offside with 1:05 left in the second penalty. It is killed and 4 minutes are remaining. Chicago finally pays for their dirty play!

Ads robbed of a goal by Halkidis! The puck was clearly loose in the crease and and he blew the whistle! Martin was Slashing and punching Ozzy behind the net. No call, unbelievable! No retaliation by Ozzy. He did say something to Martin in front of the net before skating away. These teams have at least 2 more games to play against each other.

Pavel ENG (6) from the Blue Line near the wall at 17:43 with an assist to Gravel (14).

Ads win 3-1 to go 6-4 versus the Wolves so far this season (Game 56). SOG were 9-8 Admirals and 20-17 Ads.

The first Star was Lucchini 1G 1A, Kemell 1G (GWG) and Murray with 16 saves.

From the AHL transactions page it looks like in addition to Lucchini and Wiesblatt going down, they did the requisite shuffles to ensure Svechkov, Stastney, and Del Gaizo were sent back and recalled… to stay eligible for the playoffs.

Evangelista’s waiver exemption will expire very soon, so the only way he could have made it is if he stayed down, which would have been unfair. I’m not sure how L’Heureux is handled given his injured status :dunno:

Like Trotz and Bruno are NEVER unfair?

Tonight's game is the 6th place Iowa Wild (20-31-3-2, 44 pts) at the (tied) for first place Admirals (29-18-4-5, 69 pts). With Lucchini's SHG last night, he took the team lead with 15 goals. The Ads lost in OT to Iowa on Feb 28th.

Chrona is in goal tonight. LD Gravel with Ufko. Up front are LW Rolston, C Cal O'Reilly with a Standing O for 1000 AHL games, and Ozzy. AHL League President Scott Howsom gave Cal a crystal award as the 9th player to get to that level in 89 seasons. Even the 4 on ice officials were clapping for Cal.

Cal (9) with the backwards 5-hole deflection, a highlight reel goal, around 6:30. The assist went to Friedman (8). SOG 6-2 Admirals. Seconds later, Ozzy checks #43, Haight, who did not get up for about a minute.

The Big Ragu calls Marino for Interference. It was a questionable call based on timing. I expect it to be that tight on the Wild. And it was, Iowa called for Interference on their PP. Kemell called for Hooking amid several penalties that were committed and not called. Ads send the puck through the crease twice at even strength. Hlavaj is a lucky goalie to not have four goals against him. He gives up a lot of rebounds!

#43 is back for the last minute of the period. SOG 12-11 Iowa.

Period 2 has Matier and Prokop on D, followed by Livingstone and Friedman, who was boarded with No Call. The fans are booing! Everybody but the 2 goalies were scrapping in the SW corner and no calls.

At the other end, #3 jumps Ozzy. Peart gets 2, 5 and 10, Ozzy gets 5 and won the fight, putting Peart on his back on the back of the north net. Karl Taylor is yelling at the refs and pointing at the SW corner about the no boarding call. This game is teetering toward a line brawl. The Ads have missed mostly open nets twice on the PP. They could have 5 goals by now! Peart goes back to the locker room after serving his 2 minutes.

Iowa called for High Sticking, there was a pile up in front of the Wild net, but no goal. Ads pass it around and Rolston (11) scores the PPG at 6:56. Assists to De Leo (9) and Friedman (8). #50 checks Chrona and Marino takes him down! Marino gets a Minor and Milne gets NOTHING! Chrona is telling the ref that Milne hit him in the neck in the crease!I

The refs are #2 Jarrod Ragusin and #31 Shaun Davis. Reedy was boarded in the O-zone when the puck was in the Neutral Zone and No Call. He was so slow coming back he nearly had a breakaway, but he passed because he could not skate well. That is 2 Boardings not called on Iowa! Iowa roughing up Lucchini after he took a SOG. NO CALL FOR ROUGHING.

Sandelin just slashed 3 Admirals on one shift. No penalty unless you count one guy slashing him back and Gravel smashing him into the endboards after the whistle!

Iowa scores. Ozzy has a stick caught in his skate BEFORE the puck drop. Nothing called, of course! Now #27 punches Prokop and he punches him right back. No Calls.

Sandelin and Milne BOTH hit Chrona with their sticks and No Bleeping Calls! Marino gets a Minor for Interference. It wasn't that late!!! The Ads killed it. Now the puck goes through Hlavaj's crease again. With 48 seconds left, Iowa called for Interference for taking Lucchini's legs out in the Neutral Zone. SOG 18-11 Ads and 29-23 overall.

I would like to know the # of even strength minutes in Period 2, maybe 5? The refs still missed a lot of penalties!

It looked like Slap Shot for Scott Howsom. Ads 2-1, refs ZERO.

Period 3 begins with a 1:12 of carry over PP for Milwaukee. All 5 skaters on one side and the Ads loose the puck. The Ads flip the puck over the net and the Wild Dmen collided trying to play it.

Ads player hit in the face with a stick and NO Call 2 minutes into the period. SOG 32-24 Ads. Prokop just flattened #27. I did not get a good look because it was in traffic. Iowa ices the puck and 2 guys went to the bench. A ref and a Linesman went over. Now 2 more guys come off the bench to stall around for about a minute. The Ads score! Livingstone (6) from the back side. Assists at 4:40 to Denisenko and Friedman. Karma for the stall tactics! Now De Leo with the second assist.

Milne keeps mouthing off at the Admirals, 3 different players. Kemell wants to fight him. Karl Taylor is yelling at Ragusin for a long time! Matier called for Holding at 6:20. Those were all during the same TO to scrape the ice.

Milne yakking at Weisblatt after play resumes. How much is too much, refs?

Livingstone puts one from 15 feet off of Hlavaj's glove and it goes inches wide of the left post. Marino whacks one at the net, then the ref blows the whistle because a Wild player has an injured TOE. I am PRETTY SURE that isn't in the rules!

Ads called for Icing when the puck went through the Iowa Dman's skates and stick. It is hard to believe that it did not touch something!

We are down to 3:46 remaining. SOG are 42-23 Admirals. I expect Hlavaj to leave. He is off at 3:35 and Rolston (12) is all alone 10 seconds later for a ENG from 15 feet! Assist to O'Reilly. 4-1 Ads.

It is a Frosty Four game. (Jankowski traded for a draft pick) Milne causes problems again and gets no penalty. SOG 45-30 Ads with 30 seconds left.

I hope that Scott Howsom got a good look of at two of the worst refs in the AHL and the crowd reactions to the same!
