would you hurry up and clinch the division guys?
Good news, Tomasino and Gross will both play tonight against the 6th place Chicago Wolves. The Ads will go with 11 F and 7 D, plus Ethan Haider as a back up to Askarov.

Phil should help the offense and Jordan is the QB of the PP.

Edit: Grand Rapids lost. The Magic # is 3.

The starters are Del Gaizo and Wilsby. Cal centers Egor and Schaefer. Asky in goal. The Ads are wearing special jerseys with medium blue on the bottom changing to navy blue at the elbows. They have a large white A made of bones on the chest for Autism Awareness night with white numbers on back. The pants are navy and the stockings are medium (ice?) blue.

The Ads are 43-21-1-1 for 88 points to Chicago's 22-32-6-6 for 56 points.

Grimaldi scores 4 minutes into the game as Askarov was not paying attention!

Tomasino does not look sharp. His passing and stick handling are poor. He was less than 10 feet from the net and passed instead of shooting.

Donovan smacked Schaefer in the face after the whistle, knocking him down. No call. Ufko gets a questionable Holding penalty and the Wolves score in seconds to make it 2-0. Now 3-0 with Chicago having 7 players on the ice.

These officials are Horrible! In particular Graedy Hamilton who has refused to call 5 obvious penalties on the Wolves, including the Boarding against Schaefer about 15 seconds before the third goal. It could have been a 4 minute penalty and Schaefer is lucky that his neck isn't broken. The "Refs you suck" chant was directed at Hamilton with over 3 minutes remaining. The SOG were 13-12 Ads despite all of the O-zone time by the Wolves. Marinio cross checked an Ads player across the kidneys after the horn and there was no call.

The Ads came out shooting in period 2. Felhaber scored unassisted 7 minutes into the period. Alex Campbell scored about 30 later to make it 3-2 Chicago with his first pro goal. The Wolves got a penalty for Cross Checking. The SOG are 22-14 Ads. After 1 minute of PP, the Ads tie the game with a goal by Cal with assists to Ufko and Kemell. There are over 8 minutes left in period 2.

The Ads had a 4 on 1 that was called Offside. Total BS. The puck carrier was 5 feet ahead of the other Ads players. A Wolves player was sitting on an Admiral, he got up and punched the Admiral in the face and Hamilton called nothing. With 5:38 remaining, the "Refs you suck" was deafening!

Felhaber was fighting the much larger Alex Green. I did not see what started it. Tye got in some good punches and threw the SOB down to the ice! They both got 5. The only reason this game does not have a line brawl is the tie score. Chicago called for Tripping the puck carrier. Both refs raised their arms. It is miracle! There is one minute left. The Ads had some shots, but did not score.

The SOG are 25-18 Ads. After the horn, Chris Terry jumped off of the Chicago bench to get in the ear of ref Bobby Jo Love, #51. I have seen Love before. He is a terrible ref!

Period 3 will open with 49 seconds of penalty time carrying over for Chicago. Cal was tripped in the first 10 seconds. Wolves score ES at 1:51 to go up 4-3. Gravel was in goal foe about 5 seconds when Askarov was trapped behind the goal. Wilsby with a hip check! Chicago minor to Cory Conacher for Slashing. Ufko with the slapper from the middle of the blue line with PP assists to Egor and Kemell at 8:23. It is 4-4 with 11:23 remaining. Wilsby called for Hooking at 8:59. Marino was trying to fight Felhaber while Conacher tried to provoke players on the Ads bench. Two for Roughing and Conacher gets nothing!

What is worse than horrible? These so called refs!!!

Schaefer just took an elbow to the head from Fitzgerald. Weisblatt jumped Fitzgerald and got 4 minutes, plus a Misconduct. Fitzgerald got no penalty! He was punching Wiesblatt back. He should have been ejected!!!!!!!!!! He should be suspended.

The Ads killed it and Fitzgerald came onto the ice for the last shift. OT. Magic # is 2. At 3:31 left, Fitzgerald is on the ice. Rocco just got hammered in the SE corner by Wilsby. He was slow to get up. SOG 5-0 Ads

Now, the Shoot Out. Svech scored! Wolves scored. Gross scored! Rocco scored. Tomasino was stopped. Wolves stopped. Round 4, Egor off the Blocker. Wolves misses. Round 5 is Campbell. All the way to the boards, and a wrister into the net! Wolves stopped by the right leg of Askarov.

The Ads win and the Magic # is ONE!
Tye Felhaber had a Gordie Howe hat trick and was the #1 Star of the Game!

FU Fitzgerald, you phony Irishman!
FU dirty Wolves team. I am glad that the Admirals beat you 10 of 12 games this year!

FU Bobby Jo Love, 2nd worst AHL ref!
FU Graedy Hamilton, the WORST AHL ref!
Both of you should be fired.

Aaron Sims mentioned Wiesblatt for getting "some retribution" for the hit against Schaefer. He seemed very positive about what Weisblatt did. That is very telling that Sims would say that without saying that he is glad that Ozzy got that dirty bum in front of 6620 very loud fans.

Ufko point-per-game in his first 4 games.

Any other info on his game from Ads fans?
He is a fast skater and a steady puck handler.
He passes well.

I probably reported that for the Badger Kwik-Trip Tourney on December.

The Admirals are winning 3-1 at Rockford with less than 10 minutes remaining in regulation. That will clinch the division title!

Tomasino had two goals last night. Good to see he's back from whatever kept him out a couple of weeks.

Edit... actually all the goals for both teams were former Preds (Pitlick and Sanford for Rockford)

Rockford and Chicago both have offenses based greatly on former Admirals players.
The Wolves have five former Ads players, including Rocco Grimaldi. Rocco has 34 G and 34 A in 68 games. He will be golfing in a week.

Tomasino shook off the rust that I saw on Friday. Good for him and Milwaukee!

The last two games the Ads scored 5 and 3 goals after having 13 games of 2 goals a game average, after the earlier games had a 3 goals a game average to lead the AHL. The Ads are now 7th in AHL scoring.

Scott Nichol probably doesn't want any guys to get hurt, since Milwaukee should win a few rounds in the playoffs, just like last season!

It was a surprise to me that the Ads lost to CV in the conference finals 4-2. I did not think that they would get that close to the Calder Cup Finals. They should get to the CCF against Hershey this season. The Bears have 107 points to the Ads 92. If the Ads win out, they will hit 100 points.

Tomasinos 9 goals put him 13th for admirals even though he has only played 20 games.

The Ads clinched their 7th AHL Division title.

Their playoffs will start on the road May 1st.
The home games will be at 7 PM on Wed, Fri and Sunday May 8, 10 and the 12th.

The Ads will face the winner of the best of 3 play in series between host Texas (72 pts, 5-5-0-0) and Manitoba (67 pts, 5-4-1-0) in a best of five division finals.

Second place Grand Rapids (82 pts, 5-4-1 recently) versus Rockford (81, 8-2-0-0). That could flip, both have 3 games remaining, and each plays the Ads (92 pts, 6-3-0-1) one more time.

On Wednesday night, April 17th, the Admirals host Manitoba at 7 PM.

Why do they have to start on the road if they won the division and have the 3rd best record in the entire league?

Because the second round of the playoffs is a best of 5 series. The first two games are away and the final three games are home.

As the higher seed, the Ads get to choose where to start. If they win one road game, that 5 game series is nearly over. BTW, the Ads have won 3 of 4 games at Manitoba this season.

Aaron Sims said that Mutter and Wahl are playing tonight. The Ads want to grind the Moose down so they will dread coming back here in May.

Askarov, Wilsby, McKeown, Mutter, Wahl and Felhaber at Center are starting.

High Sticking from #45 against Felhaber. Tye returned the favor at 29 seconds. Tomasini (11) scores from the right circle at 1:41 into the period. Assist to Weisblatt. One goal on 2 shots for the Ads. Wahl just crushed #6 at the red line. Five minutes in and the Moose get their first SOG. Moose score on a weak shot by the left post at 5:32. Asky has been a slow starter recently. Not what you want for the playoffs!

Ufko for Slashing. On the way to the box, #13 comes across the ice and bumps him. Typical Moose doodoo. Weisblatt crushed a guy on the endboards. #4 follows him and crosschecks Weisblatt 3 times. No call. Ads with a flurry of heavy checks. Hanzel is playing on D. Moose with uncalled called cheap shots. After the horn, Egor was pushing with a Moose player in the SÈ corner. Heinola started punching L'Heureux in the face 3 or 4 times, before Zach responded. Then Liwiski jumped Zach from behind. Then first two got Roughing, Liwinski with 354 PIMs in Norfolk, got zero.
SOG 14-4 Moose.

Continued below.

Period 2 has the Moose with some penalties. The Ads are getting more shots. Mutter just scored! Then he was stopped on a breakaway and he leveled a Moose at the blue line. Moose for Roughing Tomasino. Ads up 2-1. Moose keep crosschecking after the whistles! The bad refs are Ragusin #2 and newcomer Stephen Hiff #46. Svech with a big check. Moose still crosschecking all over the ice. Moose just elbowed each other, #28 and #20. They went down on the hash mark in front of Askarov. Wilsby with a phantom Holding penalty. Askarov dove for no reason and allowed a goal with 4 seconds left in the penalty. Moose trying to start a line brawl after the horn. Two went after Egor. No calls, big surprise. SOG 16-11 Moose droppings.

Period 3 has Karl Taylor giving one ref an earfull. Parsnip (7) dekes the goalie, assists to Egor and Zach. Liwiski called for Roughing. Tomasino to Egor for a PPG. The other assist to Weisblatt to make it 4-2. Viel #28, tries to go after Egor. No luck. Moose getting their sticks up. Felhaber is cut and shows blood to ref. No call. Mutter just hammered 13 in the SE corner. I am surprised that the door did not pop open! Schaefer for tripping.

Moose have decided to play hockey down 2 goals with 7 minutes left. Ads hit crossbar, Moose score at other end seconds later on a 3-on-1. Askarov misses puck on unassisted Moose goal to tie game with 5:58 left. I blame Asky for 3 of the 4 goals. Maybe Troy should have played tonight? Ads take a TO. Asky played an iced puck. He needs to stop that! 22 for Roughing. He punched Weisblatt in the head. One minute left and tha Ads go tic tac toe. L'Heureux (19) with assists to Egor (27) and Parsnip (15).

Ads score ENG and L'Heureux is intentionally tripped so he can't shoot the puck! Egor had to air mail it from behind the Ads blue line. His 25th goal was unassisted.

With 11 seconds left, the puck is dropped and L'Heureux and C J Suess go at each other, getting Misconducts. If the refs were smart, which they definitely ARE NOT, they would declare the 6-4 game to be over.
The SOG were 10-10.

Fourteen penalties called in the game. It should have been double that number! The Admirals have 94 points, placing them in the #2 seed for the WC, ahead of Tucson and Ontario, but behind Coachella Valley.

Milwaukee is 26-9 at home and 5-3 versus the Moose, winning 3 of 4 at Winnipeg. Scoring 5 against Milic, who shut them out six weeks ago, was a big deal.

Tomasino was the #1 Star with 1G and 1A.
Mutter was the #3 Star with 1G and a bunch of big checks. He nearly scored a second goal in period 3. It was the best game that I have ever seen from Mutter!
