So just so I get this straight: You spent a good portion of 22 pages last time claiming Necas dove because he didn’t head to the locker room when his leg went horizontal against Meier.

But now you’re claiming Necas ALSO dove last game when he spent half the period in concussion protocol after taking a hit to the head from Verhaeghe.

And you don’t see the irony or the contradiction in those two stances?

Okay, so now it’s a dive if a player gets injured and doesn’t leave the game entirely? Is that where you’re moving the goalpost? I’m just trying to follow the logic you’re providing.

Diving is a big part of the Hurricane’s game plan, second only to Brind’Amour making funny faces.

I don't think anyone can really call out anyone's team for diving. Every team has/had a diver and it's put up with because it works. The fact that the total fine numbers are so low shows that the NHL doesn't REALLY care. Every competition has it greasy side. Some people are more willing to take advantage of it than others.

Sucks to suck.

this is a play I would consider as borderline since the Rangers player looks to be making a hooking/spearing motion so I can see why he goes down.

In a vacuum I don’t particularly have an issue with a player going down to draw attention to a genuine infraction. However the rule is a good one because without it we’d have players taking advantage and going down with the slightest contact. Unfortunately it’s always going to be subjective to some degree, we have to accept it.

I’m a football (soccer) fan also and the diving is an embarrassment. It’s actually improved in recent years, certainly in the Premiership, but it’s still a big issue.
