What defines a healthy Nucks team this season though? You said it yourself, Demko might be finished. If you discount him they have iced a healthy roster. Its just a dysfunctional mess at this point. Pettersson hasnt been the same since signing that contract.

Shirley you jest :

Bad look, man. Edmonton won fair and square

He has a point. If the Oilers play Skinner in Game 7 against a healthy Demko...that's game goes to Vancouver. Skinner imploded in the third period and almost cost the Oilers the game. I still think a marginally better goalie gets us the Cup.

I feel like everytime I read nucks news.. it is bad news. I was hoping for a healthy 2 or three years of absolute hate between us! Get back on track Vancouver! It's more fun when you are doing great.
No it’s not lol

Whats MacLean's track record like ? Is it better as a journalist, or whatever he is than it was for him as a GM ?

Dude seems retired to me and doesn’t seem like he gives a f*ck anymore when I see him. I don’t know if what he is saying is true. But I also doubt hes saying something for clicks, attention, money etc

Demko could start by playing better, because everyone would be happier if he kept he team in a few games.
He's been God awful but it's to be expected given the long layoff.

As for the rumour I have to think it's bullshit considering the sources.
I'm sure he's upset, the whole organization should be pissed with how pathetic they have been the last two months.

For me Tochett has to fall on the sword. His boring low event style was fine when we were winning but this team has become unwatchable and clearly the team needs to play a different style.

I'm not being facetious, but is there something to certain American players not wanting to play in Canada at this time? M. Tkachuk wanted out of Calgary... there are rumors his bother may be traded by the Sens to an American team (a lot of Rangers chatter)... and Miller and Demko in Vancouver? Probably nothing but...
Miller signed that contract… kind of hard to draw that conclusion.

Matt Tkachuk wanted to sign a long term deal with Calgary but they refused to commit and offered the 3 year deal instead. If they signed him to the term he asked for he’d still be a flame, so no it didn’t have anything to do with Canada vs the US

Who is happy there lately? 2 years ago I believed in that core, right now I believe they will be in rebuild in 2 years

Nice try with that one....any NHL/NJ fan knows Quinn was joking saying that if NJ didn't take Luke #4 in that draft...

Vancouver is the dump right now if anything and I'll leave it at that. Not trying to start anything, but I've seen it all over social media.. if Quinn doesn't sign an extension soon, he's gone..the word is he wants to play with his two brothers.
He literally can’t sign an extension soon, it’s a violation of the CBA. The earliest he could sign is July 1st, 2026.

NJ has far more to offer right now
Except money and term.

Turned from Oilers vs Canucks for the division for the next 5 seasons to Canucks vs the Flames for how many superstars want out.

Rivalry over. Sad.

Getting tired of all the reports of these diva players 'wanting out' and 'unhappy' wherever. Like every grass is always greener somewhere else. Vancouver needs to decide who is part of the problem and who is going to be a part of the solution soon or they will continue to spin their wheels for another decade.

Here we go with the same garbage again. At some point Demko is just going to say “fine, I guess trade me since nobody ever believes me when I say the speculation is a complete fabrication.”

So while he’s very likely leaving after his contract expires, he isn’t pushing any buttons to get out early. Good bet he signs with Anaheim, LA or Detroit but that’s after his deal expires. The man is just trying to stay healthy at this point.
Ducks have Dostal coming up. No chance we take Demko, guy is paper.

reminiscent of the sens. rumors that tkachuk was looking for a way out, how long before quinn starts eyeing nj as a better option
