Well then they need to stick Rempe in Hartford until he figures it out, and find another hulkish goon to help everyone feel safe. Because Rempe obviously has something to bring to the table but it doesn't help him or the team if he keeps taking major penalties and if he's suspended more than he's in the lineup.
I'm on board with this, but it's a different NHL and they're going to keep kicking him out and suspending him. He has to change something before they can count on playing him regularly. He's now going to have missed like 8-10 games while having appeared in 22. And if he keeps it up the suspension length will grow.Probably not politically correct but as a former player that bull in a China shop who may hurt you factor probably helps the team. I used to hate playing against guys that could not stop well. Every time a guy that could not stop was in the game I knew it and I was on the look out not to get in their way. I did not mind playing against great players or even tough guys but it was the guy that you just did not know what he was going to smash in to (on purpose or accidentally) that was a pain in the neck to play against. Way worse to play against a dangerous guy than a typical "goon"
Not a bad effort at ES.
The other shit is going to look lopsided when the other team was on the PP for 1/3 of the game.
Don’t buy a turn around but it’s a good effort against a tough team.
So, with the win last night, the Rangers are all kumbaya now? LOL
We're Cup favorites nowSo, with the win last night, the Rangers are all kumbaya now? LOL
This is what bothers me. It’s not like he hasn’t played this whole time between his NHL games appearances - he should have been learning how to reel it in these unnecessary dangerous hits that gets him thrown out of game. He was going to have a plus game by giving the good guys three PP opportunities, but instead we’re discussing this…In the AHL, it was a clean hit.
Seriously, because i didn't see how he played in Hartford but I didn't hear anything about late hits in Hartford the whole time there. Is he playing differently up here? Does it have something to do with trying to impress? Is it the pace that's messing his timing? Did he do the same things in Hartford that weren't called?
I’m not taking away anything from Shesterkin but in prior games Rangers couldn’t generate even 2 goals (or enough scoring chances for that to happen). The looked a lot more dynamic offensively - pretty noticeable.literally had a career best game where they won by 1.
This doesn’t mean that other people
Didn’t play well, but he’s the reason they won.
Someone is in his ear “to fact check”."You get the Rangers, Islanders, Devils, Yankees, Mets. No, you don't get the Mets."
Nah.So, with the win last night, the Rangers are all kumbaya now? LOL
This is what you get when the beat writers want the players to like them. Stars got goalied and it’s “must feel good to get the monkey off your back huh.”So, with the win last night, the Rangers are all kumbaya now? LOL
So you agreed with me, thanks. The team played their best game of this stretch. Agree skater for skater they didn't outplay Dallas but they actually played some hockey tonight.
Right, so what I said I accurate. Thanksthey were on the PK for 17 minutes what the f*** did you expect?
There was a different energy but it was the same type of win we have seen for years and nothing actually different. They got destroyed on the rush, they couldn't cover players on the rush, they had constant breakdowns in their own end. That's my issue. It's the same type of game they have won for years with goaltending covering for all the issues 5v5. No actual change. If the refs called the high stick on smith, the boarding on berard, or the miscellaneous head shot on borgen near the end, maybe it’s not so lopsided tho. I’m going with this was a clusterf*** and the boys dug down and did what they had to win. If they can build on some luck and grit here, I’m happy. If not, yeah, I throw up my hands.

They can play better and stop repeating the crap that we have watched for years. They were abused on the rush and had constant d zone coverage breakdowns. They had some push back for a change but we saw very much the same team we have seen for years that needed elite goaltending to win a tight game. A lot of us will start being positive once the players start defending to an NHL level and maintaining a work ethic that leads to proper defensive effort. Is there literally nothing this team can do that we say anything positive about them for a day or two?
In general they were outplayed, again. Their goalie won them a game, again.
I guess my reply was so nice you answered it twice lolSo you agreed with me, thanks.
I was referring to the team, not this board. LolMaybe for once this board decided not to be miserable after a win.
I guess my reply was so nice you answered it twice lol
My point was that it's possible to agree while also have the nuanced opinion that it was ALSO a step in the right direction instead of just being only negative about the game.
You posted two things that basically said the same thing and I replied to each one.I guess my reply was so nice you answered it twice lol
