Can't stand heat. I suffer from a condition no doc/specialist has been able to figure out, going back few decades now. Not pleasant I tell ya :(.
On the dog front, don't even go there. Although no dogs in the household presently, but 2 rescue cats, you are talking to an animal lover/activist bud ;)

Oh sorry, was just kidding. Had no idea obviously.

How in the PUCK! can you be a Leafs AND!!! Habs fan? wtf is wrong with you? ..... weird dude.... weird. lol

Went there to see the Leafs years ago. Stayed just under a week with the lady. Stayed in vieux port area. Settlement era French architecture and cafes. Oh wow was the food ever good. A lot of unique restaurants you’ll never find in Toronto. An art gallery every block. I’m not exaggerating. Conversing in French was a nice addition.

Ever since then, I could not find it in me to hate Les habitants.

Anyways...

This game i won't even jump on Fred because he is what he is and the whole team was terrible in this one.

Worst game they've played all year. Don't know what happened to them but that was totally different than every other game they've played the last few weeks.

If you want to call yourself a Leaf fan then I suggest you work on it.

I like Quebec, I like MTL and I like practicing my minimal French every now and then. But I hate the Habs, it's easy.

As an aside, how regrettable does the necessity to release Dell look now?

Meh, he’s been pretty bad in New Jersey.

OK congrats you can look up a stat. Do you want a medal? I asked if Andersen isnt the guy who is? not some bullshit stat that i've read over and over for 19 pages now.
I think when Campbell comes back you start splitting games between the two. If Campbell looks better then unfortunately you sit Freddy and let Campbell be the starter. Freddy isn't letting in multiple bad goals a game or anything, but he's just not stopping enough pucks. Sub .900 is a terrible save %

Campbell is without question better if he can stay healthy. He cant continually have bad games.
11 out of 21 games have been sub 900. 5 of those games the leafs were still able to win. Imagine what this team could do with average goaltending

I hope to tie up Borje Salming tomorrow or the next day. To represent a Swedish company of mine. So as to prove to that fellow here who sort of went wild on me, that some people do have a connect or two. I don't know if links are allowed but news re: Borje should be out in a day or two.

I have always loved Sweden, Swedish hockey players and my old buddy, Borje Salming. Guy blazed a trail And look what came after him? Forsberg and yes of course, sweet Willy.

Me personally I like some scuttlebutt, but if that is frowned upon here, fine and dandy. I will abide.

Funny thing is, I am of Danish descent, yet, Andersen is losing my loyalty and patience. He looks sluggish, and he seems to have the eyesight of a mole these days.

I love supporting ex Leafs, who don't want to join the scouting or coaching game right away. Playing in the NHL takes so much out of you. One guy I know, just wanted to lie on hot sand to heal the years of taking hits, stops and starts, and everything else that goes with being a pro athlete in a very high contact sport.

Why did Dubas say this in post game,
we dont have any flexibility to make any roster changes for tomorrow"

What happened to Taxi squad?
Or what was he trying to say.

I think he didn't want to open the door that would, this being LeaFland and all, absolutely turn into a frenzy. Easiest out, nope can't do it, salary cap and all that oh well?

Are you referring to Travis "I went to the Jake Gardiner school of headfakes and jimmy shakes" Dermott? That guy is NEVER going to be more than a 3rd pairing D...he always hesitates with the puck...and then does the wrong thing. He brings ZERO offense to the game with questionable defense to boot. At least with Reilly you can say he provides some scoring to help balance his atrocious defensive play. I like every single guy on D except those 2.

it's crazy because he looks like he just has more and then, he doesn't

40 million dollars is tied up in the 4 forwards (i.e. approx 50% of the cap). The offense has to win the games for the Leafs more often than not. You can blame the goalie all day long if you like but the 4 guys together have to score more than other team's offense

Good post. It’s not not that half our cap is on forwards. It’s half our cap are on FOUR forwards. Those 4 players have to carry the game, and when they don’t, it’s their fault.

we don’t have the cap space to have good defence, due to half the cap on 4 forwards. We don’t have the cap space to have good goaltending, due to half the cap on 4 forwards.

there should NEVER be an excuse of “ran into a hot goalie”. We pay half our cap to 4 forwards and it’s THEIR job to figure out how to win us the game.

The Leafs are the 2nd best offensive team in the league, and Andersen is the 3rd best goalie just on the Leafs. It's not hard to figure out what part of the team isn't carrying their weight

Agreed! That is why everytime I see people finding excuse for the offesne it pisses me off. we are paying 50% of the cap to 4 forwards - excuses like "ran into the hot goalie" especially during the CBJ series pissed the hell out of me

we got shutout what? like about 3 times in that series? It was pathetic to see the excuses here

Riightttt.... 2nd best offensive team playing in the north division not in the entire league. Playing against stingy defense of boston or against tampa or NYI etc... would mean something else

making blanket statements like "best in the league" when leafs are only playing 6 other teams is a very tall reach

ok fine, best offensive team in the division. Smith, Allen, Campbell, Hutchinson, Price, Demko, Markstrom, Hellebuyck, Brossoit, Rittich, and Koskinen have all been better than Andersen and the majority are also cheaper than him. It's not really a good hill to die on that the offense is letting the team down and Andersen is carrying his weight
