I will let the tragic/magic number mathematicians do their thing, but as I see it, over the next six games, they really need 4-2 considering some of the opponents. Problem is the cross country travel, a b2b out west, another cross country travel to Buffalo and a midday matinee at home...

... if we DO make the playoffs, it'll be in the 3rd Metro spot or the second WC spot most likely. Rangers are currently 2 points out of first, or 6 points ahead of the Canes. If we do get in, there's a very non-0 chance we see them in the first round for the first time in 20 years.

I’m completely on board with that line of thought.

Teams lose games they should win and vice versa. If recent memory serves me correct, I don’t think many here expected the Isles to win their last two games but here we are.

I think either WC spot is possible. Detroit's not that far ahead, and now Larkin is out for the next couple of weeks.
