Hiding under WTG's bed...
Respect to you for changing your opinion... some people can't. It reminded me of a worse Canuck instance where Wayne Maki and Ted Green were swinging sticks to hurt each other.
Maki was then a rookie with the St. Louis Blues when that stick swinging happenned. Canucks weren't even in the league yet (they might've been had not the Toronto Maple Laffs veto'd the Canucks first attempt to enter the league).

1969...the year before Vancouver joined the league. Thank you for the correction.

I've had a few brain cells destroyed by alcohol over the last 50 years and now I cannot even remember why I associated Maki, Vancouver and the stick incident. I was so sure that I did not check my facts before posting.

Probably because Maki ended his short-career with Vancouver & they retired his number (ok, there's dispute whether the club actually retired the number officially).

Rangers President or GM actually put a public bounty on Ted Green once (Green was that infamous back then).

wow i just read donald brashear’s wikipedia. i’d read he had a tough upbringing but tough doesn’t begin to describe it.

the not a great teammate stuff, well you can definitely see why he’d have trust issues and look out for himself first. as a fairly talented player for his role, and given his family history, you can also see why he’d start to resent making his living beating people up out there.
