Assuming the Bruins will indeed be sellers, I think it’s worth considering what the pass/fail expectations should be on Sweeney around the deadline. I would list them as follows:

Frederic – must be either re-signed on a reasonable deal or, my strong preference, traded. Probably for a return that includes a 2nd round pick or similar. He can’t be allowed to linger and then just walk away for nothing. He just can’t.

Marchand – depends where you sit on how much control he should have over his own future. But if you’re in the business/team comes first no matter what camp, then the argument is pretty strong at this point that he should be traded, even if the hope is to get him back in the offseason. Alternatively though if he’s promptly re-signed on a reasonable deal before the deadline I don’t think you can argue too much with that. It’s special to be a one-club player.

At least one of Carlo and Coyle should be gone, ideally both. Carlo has more value – good contract, proven record as an excellent shut down defender with a lot of playoff experience. But also injury prone and having a down year. How much will other teams be willing to overlook those factors? Coyle is overpaid but at least he now only has a year left on his deal. Has a patchy playoff record, but has shown solid middle 6 performance over extended periods of time and has versatility. Surely there would be at least some interest. I really don’t know if you can expect a 1st for either guy at this point, but a 2nd and/or some good younger player with room for growth should at least be in the return.

Brazeau and Wotherspoon – trade if you can get any sort of value for them, but not too fussed really. More attached to Parker as I think he’s a solid depth defender.

Start playing more of the kids. It’s bad enough that hasn’t happened already outside of Potts and Mason, it really needs to occur more from now on. Not optional.

I think that’s about it. There’s zero risk of Don doing something nuclear like trading Sway, IMO. There are a few others who could be traded (Peeke?) but I don’t think it moves the needle too much either way if they are or aren’t. Lohrei I’d stick with and no-one fancying a playoff run is taking a kid who’s still that error-prone in his own end anyway. Geekie should be kept unless the return is huge.

Bottom line is minimum expectations are that the Bruins should come out of the deadline with Frederic sorted or moved, some extra draft picks including a couple of 2nds at the very least or alternatively good younger players with solid upside, some cleared cap space, and the likes of Lysell and Merkulov getting more ice time in Boston. Miss on any of those and IMO Sweeney can justly be criticised for it. We’ll see what happens.

To be devil's advocate do you want a rookie GM in charge of it? Perhaps, like most people, he has learned from his mistakes and will make good decisions in a rebuild. The direction of what to do has likely come from the top and ownership and so now if they green light rebuild he will make rebuild decisions.

The love with bottom 6 plugs as you put it is kind of taking what you can find and hoping one or two is good. Obviously they wanted to match Florida physicality but he tried to replace Bergeron with the best available. We all thought Lindholm would be better than he's been. Most definitely NOT Bergeron, but somewhere between Bergeron and Coyle and really, he's just been about as good as Coyle just different.

Swayman screwed him over. The two big free agents haven't delivered, and so an aging team is now slow and fading. All we can do is if he sells off this time he does a better job with the draft capital than they did you know when.
How about getting legit top talent for once that are consistent .And this rookie GM as you say ,I am not sure where are you getting that from.Cant wait to see his idea of a rebuild because he has no idea to how add top end talent.Just look at this roster, it's a fking joke. And Swayman never screwed him over, he traded Ullmark and give Swayman and his agent all the power .Kind of like all the no movement clauses he hands out like candy.Anyhow I respect your devil's advocate, but I am not supporting Sweeney

I agree these games lack a lot. I in all serious do not believe, in the Buin's prospects, there best young player is Loheri, and I at times even wonder about him. Maybe they should give Merk and Lysell a look you might be right, but you also risk depreciating their value even more. Lindholm is a player I have always liked, but lets be honest this team was struggling before his injury.
Sure, but what is their value now?
Another first round bust by Sweeney and a good college signing they never gave a chance?

I don’t think either looked worse than anything I’ve seen all season and they’ve been given 5? Games total between the two of them

I like Poitras but I’d wager Merk or Lysell would look the same out there given his opportunity

I could be wrong, but I think Swayman asked to be the number one and there were talks and Sweeney made the commitment to him. Then Swayman's agent made his ask. I suspect the Bruins went on a belief that was clearly proven to be a mistake. I blame Swayman though not Sweeney. Personally at that point I would have traded Swayman too and gone with Korpisalo DiPietro and said screw it. I have money for a top line winger or center. But that's just me. I'm a vindictive sort :)

I guess I'm just saying if you fire Sweeney who are you hiring? All the good experienced GMs have jobs. You end up with an assistant GM or a new guy and you take your chances. That guy has to familiarize himself with the roster, make connections and relationships and the vultures will fly in all over him. Lots of delay and potential mistakes. So if I'm the owner I'm giving Sweeney this year to do the retool and see if he's got it on track.

Let's just talk about Swayman here.Sweeney traded Ullmark & handed Sway and his agent all the bargaining power.I can't speak for you but if I am Sways agent ,I am grinning ear to ear knowing the Bruins have no goaltending without him at that moment and just handed me the keys to the vault. He cornered himself.

If they look like Poitras, then that would support what I am saying because and I know I will offend many but he does not impress me, and I would move him if I could.

Give him more time. He has the brains, he doesn’t have the strength yet. Really should be developing in Providence. He may end up Krejci or Spooner but definitely give him more time as he missed a good chunk of playing time over the last couple of years.

I am fine with giving him more time, in Providence, unless a good offer comes in and he might be part of a package. I think I see what you are looking at he seems to have some skill, but he is consistently taken off the puck, and his skating does not impress.

Air Fryer Zucchini

I usually just use Italian seasoning instead of basil and oregano separately. A good general rule is to always use grated Romano over parmesan when you can. (Though this is still excellent with parm.)

We also make this with feta cheese sometimes and it is just as great. You can pretty much substitute whatever breadcrumbs you like/have (panko are the best for this).

The best advice I never take is to really let the zucchini dry out so they get real crispy when you cook.
Crispness, or rather lack thereof, is why I have a small zucchini threshold. This could change my relationship with zucchini forever.

The team he built has so little skill. Seems to be trying to plug a square peg into a round hole.
Sacco sucks, hope he's gone in the offseason.
I get they've missed Hampus pretty much all season but he's not going to solve the lack of scoring.

Still baffles me Lysell or Merk haven't been given an extended opportunity with how bad this team is to watch.

Has anyone enjoyed watching a Bruins game this season? I find them oh so boring yet still tune into 90% of them.

I think they will be on the roster for the rest of the season after the trade deadline.
