I don't see why Ranger would be a good one. I don't believe his reason for leaving tampa for several years was ever revealed, was it? All i remember is he went back to school.

Anyway, The only guy that deserves this as much as moore is probably manny malholtra IMO. You can't really compare a death of a spouse to eye sight but either guy could win it and deservedly so.

Paul Ranger? Dedication to hockey? No, he tried to leave the sport and scrambled back because he realized it was a mistake. If anything it seemed like he was sick of the game and left.

I agree. Losing a loved one is horrible, but him taking time off hockey to take care of his sick wife makes it different. Shows he's really a stand-up guy. To have him back in the NHL, after going through that, deserves some recognition

People were actually upset about this signing too...

He definitely deserves it, the Moore family has taken it's share of abuse the last decade or so and Dom is a really stand up guy.

When we signed him i posted if he makes the actual line up he will get this. I was also stoked we signed him. i love players like him. I dind't know where his physical and compete level wear at and I knew right away both were in a good spot. I know he was scratched early in the year and it turned out for the best but at the time i didn't think he was even close to the worst ranger. So glad for him. I hope he stays but if he doesnt I hope he can get a 3million+ dollar contract. Dude is great.
