From the NHL website:

"The Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy is an annual award under the trusteeship of the Professional Hockey Writers' Association and is given to the National Hockey League player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship, and dedication to hockey."

Dominic Moore started off having a pretty rough season but you can make an argument that he's the reason our 4th line is among the best in the league. He's overcome the death of his wife and took of a year to cope with the loss. Does he take home that trophy? Who would the other candidates be?

I REALLY hope we resign D. Moore. He's been awesome this season.

Haha reading the thread title I thought this was going to be a trade proposal thread.

edit: thread title was changed, originally read 'Dominic Moore for Masterson?'

It didn't even cross my mind, but it's obvious.

Guy comes back from a year off for a really serious reason and has a good season. Absolutely.

I can definitely see him being the nominee from the Rangers. Winning? Beats me. Can't think of anyone (barring Harding if people can win back to back) more deserving.

Dominic Moore is a good choice for us. Paul Ranger would be a good one for Toronto, but I'm not sure he would win since I'm pretty sure no one even knows what happened to him.

Dom Moore has been an awesome addition. I must admit when we signed him wasn't sure what he could contribute but he has contributed big time!!!

Hope so. He's been excellent. Would really like to have him back as 4th line center next year (Obviously pending contract requirements)

Dom adds alot to the team, faceoffs, PK, some scoring, finishes every check, tough as nails, a very admirable player with a huge heart, well deserving, he needs to be resigned

Didn't Harding win it last year? They generally don't repeat.

Plus harding has been out since around january and won't be back this season. I think if he had been able to play all or at least most of the season with the great numbers he had he would hands down win.

I think Moore is a solid choice.

Moore and Staal are both deserving candidates. But Dominic Moore is a the favorite no question about it.

That man is awesome. Love Dominic Moore.
