Why are we mecca.
We lose
We have quiet crowds with all the suits
We pay a fortune for a dog ABC beer
We listen to same music every game
Team is rich because of 6,000,000 people inside 20 miles
Toronto kids want to come and play to get rich on endorsements and sign autographs
We have a ton of sports guys who convince us this is mecca to keep their jobs

Definition of mecca is wrong
I haven't been to every Arena in the league but those I have the bolded is the same as here.

Thinking the SBA is 'full of suits' is just ignorant and pretty much says you've never been to a game.

There's no pressure to win. We are told to glorify regular season victories because they can't win in the playoffs.

I have never, not once, in all the thousands upon thousands upon thousands of comments that I have read, ever seen a fan say "gee, I really hope the Leafs finish with a few more points at the end of the season this year, maybe even set a regular season record".

Never has anyone said such a thing because it has never occured to anyone to say something so stupid.

Nobody cares about record breaking regular season success when the team is achieving record breaking playoffs failure at the same time.

Not been to many, but bowl can be empty during week games. Only noisy when playoffs come or lots of kids.
But uou are the expert for sure, but I have been to many arenas much louder...Pitt, Buff (when winning) Philly

All buildings are loud at times and quiet at times. This isn't unique to Toronto.

Besides Scotiabank Arena I have also seen the Leafs play the Lightning in Tampa Bay at Amalie Arena. The only other time it got loud besides when the Lightning happened to score some goals, at the start of each period they had very loud thunder bolt sounds, whereas during the game play I thought it was no different compared to watching a Leafs playing live in Toronto.

Typically road buildings are loud when the Leafs are in town as everyone is on holidays letting loose, to expect that here is silly.

I was referring to other buildings I've been to and the Leafs weren't playing.
Montreal is like a morgue if they aren't playing a rival for example.

That would make sense because of the number of Leafs fans I saw when I was in Tampa Bay, along with the fact it was during the month of December and around two weeks before Christmas.

There are two other examples I can give about being in another arena/stadium where it wasn't loud from start to finish.

In December 2016 when I went to a Raptors vs Magic game in Orlando. There were still some Raptors fans I remember seeing, although nothing like Leafs fans in Tampa. However, the Raptors and Magic weren't rivals and that season Orlando finished 13th in the NBA's Eastern Conference Standings.

In August 2017 while on vacation in Orlando I went to a Blue Jays vs Rays game at Tropicana Field. Even though they are both in the same division it's well known how the Rays can never draw any attendance and the game I went to was starting at 1:00 PM on a Thursday. However, when I look up the attendance that day it was only 10,133.

I’m heading to Columbus Friday, looking forward to meeting some fellow fans. Guaranteed Leaf fans will be the loudest ones in the building.
Hopefully the Cannon doesn’t go off too often.

Boone Jenner, personal best shots on goal. Columbus playing like a playoff game, on THE big stage...
