Not the way the hall is currently structured but if it were up to me we'd have an all time greats section (basically what we have now) and a Records and Moments/Crazy things section.

In my version he probably does. 3 straight cups as a 4th liner on two different teams would be in my "Hall of Records and Cool things" section.

Just had flashbacks to when a coworker was adamant that Tomas Holmstrom was a HOFer (and also better than John LeClair in the same conversation because of Cups or something).

He was never the best player on his line, let alone the best player on his team. It is shocking to me that anyone says yes.
Corry Perry, Zach Parise, Loui Erikkson, Mike Richards, Jeff Carter etc etc etc

Just from 2003 are caliber of players who were great at their peaks/primes. Those guys 3-4 year peak stretch was about as good as Maroons entire Career

None of them are expected to be hall of famers (minimal outside shot for Perry).

Patty Maroon was like the 11th-13th best forward on his cup/finals teams.

He would be low (bottom 25-30%) all time if you could somehow rank every player to play in the NHL with more than 100 games.

Not the point of the thread but Perry in the triple gold club + Hart/Rocket season and near 1500 games + 1000 points when it's all said and done, I think there's far more than an outside shot for the Worm
