It bothers me that he is terribly overpaid and over rated. He plays the game with arrogance and thinks that he is and plays like a super star. Playoff hockey eats him up, but all he knows is playing pond hockey. This series will be a wake up call for Dubas to get the best haul he can get for Marner during the off season. Going forward his value will just diminish. Matthew's and Tavares ain't going anywhere, Nylander should be kept for value within the salary cap. Trading Marner should be the only logical move to open up cap space and shake up the team and hopefully getting back what is needed. But will there be a GM foolish enough to take Marner on and give up alot?
