I agree no it doesn't. You do get to hear the story tho which is nice. I downloaded the audible app and listened to a bit of for whom the bell tolls on my way to school today and I enjoyed what the app brought me I didn't enjoy the authors voice.
The great thing about reading is you get to decide how you want the narrators voice to sound.
In autobiographies it is nice to have the actual author narrate the audio book because they can convey the proper tone of the book.
