Management Does Joe Sacco deserve to be officially the HC of the Bruins in 2025-2026?

No. I will acknowledge the situation he was put in wasn't exactly great, but nothing i have seen from him indicates he would be the right move going forward.

Guy is the embodiment of the ._. emoji. No emotion shown at any time ever.

All i know is no retreads.

I do not want Mike Sullivan. I do not want Quenneville. I do not want whatever guy gets let off the wheel of jobs like a Laviolette or one of the other guys.

If it's a guy like Jay Woodcroft? maybe, since there's still some surface to scratch there. But none of these guys that have been around 20+ where you know exactly what you're getting.
Could be some interesting routes to go if it's just the coaching staff

If it's coaching staff and front office they could turn it all over to the Hunter brothers.

I'm afraid it'd end up somewhere like Jay Pandolfo. But also fully admit I have no idea of the effectiveness of any of these guys as coaches in the NHL in 2025

No.

Sacco has indeed inherited a mess, and has been a good soldier for a long time, but there's also a reason that he's been an assistant for so long.

Personally I think the entire coaching staff needs an overhaul. They need an outside perspective like they got with Monty, but allow them to hire their own staff, not saddle the next coach with Chris Kelly and company.

I’d like to hang on to Adam McQuaid.

Yeah I think they will or should keep the player development staff for the most part: goalie coaches, skill and strength guys McQuaid, maybe Mougenel? Just clean out the bench staff in Boston.

Prior to the Trade Deadline:

Sacco's record as Head Coach of the Bruins: 20-19-5 in 44 games.
Jim Montgomery's record with St Louis: 21-14-6 in 41 games.

I'd argue that both coaches were working with comparable rosters and there's NOTHING that I've seen from Sacco and his staff that merits an extension.

I've seen no improvement since the change was made. I actually think we've regressed and you could make an argument that we'd be in a better playoff position right now if we'd have stuck with Monty.
