One of the best of the cap era maybe, for modern I don't see any group beating the 02 Wings

Shanahan - Fedorov - Yzerman
Robitaille - Larionov - Holmstrom
Maltby - Draper - McCarty
Devereaux - Datsyuk - Hull

You know a team is loaded when Datsyuk/Hull were on the 4th line lol
I assume "modern era" means post-lockout.
 
Hawks had at least two teams better offensively at forward than this.

I’m interested to see what post double knee surgery Barkov looks like next year as well. People are seemingly assuming he will be the same as 2024-25. Seems presumptuous.
 
I’ve seen modern era used but it’s usually to describe the NHL post WHA NHL merger - so 1979 on.

Even cap era though I'm with you on the Hawks especially 2010 people forget how nails that Ladd/Bolland/Versteeg line was

2016 Pens as well even if they have the Crosby/Malkin cheat code

Was actually 47 years ago today that most people consider the beginning of the modern age.
