Holding onto accurate observations? You find accurate observations to be 'crazy' commentary? That's an indictment on you.

So why didn't the NHL invite 3rd/4th liners and 3rd pairing defensemen to this tournament?

Answer: It's because these exhibition games are just the all-star game rebranded. For some reason some of you struggle to accept common sense observations. All the NHL had to do was change the format and slap a different name on it, and now some of you get your panties in a bunch over others observing and pointing out the obvious.
Have you watched the games?
They’ve been nothing like an exhibition or all star game

Pretty sure Brady had 8? Hits last night

Games have been great

That weak Canadian bottom 6 and slow, soft D will be food for the Tkachuks and USA forwards. USA 5-1.
Weak and slow bottom 6? Point and Jarvis are some of the fastest skaters in the NHL. Soft? Marchand, Konecny, Cirelli????

I will admit, Canada’s bottom 6 lacks size compared to the US roster. However, where they lack in size, they make up for in IQ, finesse, and being able to forecheck really really well.

You also have guys in the bottom 6 like Marchand and Konecny that can get the Tkachuks into penalty trouble and everyone knows, you don’t want Canada on the PP in this tournament.

I thought Konecny wasn't playing?

Based on today's practice Bennett is coming in the lineup for Konecny. Bennett is probably the most physical forward so Cooper obviously wants him in the lineup against the US.

The bottom 6 lines will be
Tampa Trio
Jarvis-Bennett-Marchand

I disagree. The Canadian tournament thread was dormant for a long time - I had to go searching for it. The U.S. one is constantly being bumped / used.

This is the best U.S. team in 30 years so I understand why you are hyped. I just think a 4 team "tournament" shouldn't be taken too seriously - unless, of course, Canada wins. ;)

The USA fans are more invested in hockey than the Canadian fans.

He clearly hasn't been watching. Watch the emotion and how Marner reacted after scoring that OT winner or the emotion from either Tkachuk when they scored. Ya sure...they clearly don't care and they're just going through the motions and this is just exhibition to them.
