Does Canada have an answer to the Tkachuks?

Yes - Makar.

USA is solid but missing that super dynamic offensive Dman who can break down a team alone. Canadas plan will be to use Makar and keep the puck and don’t let Brady and Matthew have puck touches. Dominant hockey with Makar leading the way.

USA has small forwards in Hughes, Connor and aren’t as scary up front size wise as they appear on paper

Helleybuck is the real problem, not the Tkachuk boys.
 
You neutralize them by playing fast, you make quick plays up ice and get them defending. Canada has the players to play a fast game and they showed some of that against Sweden but do they have the cohesion?

You don’t need to match their physicality, just get them chasing the puck before they can cause havoc and force turnovers.
 
I don’t think Canada does. That said I’m not sure the US has an answer to Crosby, McDavid, MacKinnon so it’s a bit of an immovable object vs unstoppable force

Can’t beat Canada with speed & skill, they have too much of it, better to muck it up, play a chippy game, cycle, grind out the game, score off tips & screens etc. which USA is capable of doing.

For sure, which is why it will be important that Canada can move the puck quickly and efficiently, to get USA chasing the puck rather than grinding and mucking it up. They need a big performance from the D and the C’s. I worry about Parayko in a game like this, maybe even Doughty a little too. Also would rather to see Point as the 3C.

I didn't see enough of the game to tell you. But I will say that the Finns looked great for 39:57 and yes, they did a kind of Sochi thing which is so their style. I'm a fan of Finnish hockey. They punch above their weight class more than any nation. It's too bad that they got hurt with depth against the USA, but props to the Americans.

This is the best U.S. team in 30 years so I understand why you are hyped. I just think a 4 team "tournament" shouldn't be taken too seriously - unless, of course, Canada wins. ;)

I do think this US team has no weakness. IMO, the best team in this tournament
 
Do suspensions carry over to the regular season? If not, the Tkachuks’ front teeth are about to have a CCM imprint if they look at McDavid the wrong way.
