Honestly, it could be worse! At least I actually like this song. I might have changed my mind by the end of the playoffs....

They should’ve switched-out both Triumph and Rush round by round. Get The Hip in there, Bryan Adams, Alana Myles, etc. Not like there’s a dearth of Canadian rock and roll talent or something.
lol fine. Not a huge Hip fan myself (they’re ok, just don’t love ‘em). Just an example. No way CBC/SN/Ron MacLean would do it w/o The Hip tho.I was with you until you said the Hip. I'm very glad I don't to have to hear Gord Downie's whiny voice!

Nah, it's just like being married. Just need a little time to regroup once in awhileGenuinely hope I never hear this song again for the rest of my life once the commercial is gone
I think you've got the whiny voice mistaken, Billy Talent has the whiny singer.I was with you until you said the Hip. I'm very glad I don't to have to hear Gord Downie's whiny voice!
LibertySame old commercial, all over again
Which is dumb as hell seeing it was the Team USA song at Juniors and 4 Nations.ESPN has me singing Freebird

This is the Stanley Cup now, ESPN. I get they’re trying for any kind of tie-in/carry over interest they can drum up.
But, man I was sick of hearing that song long, long ago. So many better Skynryd songs.
Especially when it seems like it’s the same three or four notes for ten minutesI never liked the song to begin with. Distorted guitar is very grating on my ears, and while I can very occasionally hear past it, any song with distorted guitar in it is usually a non-starter for me.
I do not enjoy having this preference, for what it's worth.
At least it wasn't til the day you die.Ya a little bit fer sure.
I once had the band Bad Company's hit song Bad Company from their acclaimed debut 1974 album Bad Company stuck in my head for 2 and a half years. Doctors were stumped.
