Does anybody have problems with watching videos on NHL.com?

I can't watch them from Russia. And via Outline VPN server in Netherland. And via Cloudflare Warp. I can watch videos via PlanetVPN servers in NA, but this VPN is unstable at the moment.

Does the English language site work for you, other than the videos? I remember reading the NHL shut down the Russian language site

The site works ok, it's just videos don't work.

On an older computer I get an error message when trying to watch videos, on another it mostly works, but lately the goal-highlights at times just continue loading without ever getting there. Sometimes I can open and close them multiple times and it would start to work randomly, but that doesn't always work and it is quite annoying to go through anyways.

Yes, they're trash and they generally are a low quality until the moment the goal has been scored, at which point it turns crystal clear. And this doesn't get fixed no matter how long you load the video for or how many times you refresh it.

Not to mention, they recently made the goal videos clip so they don't even show you all the replays, and for some they don't show a single replay.

How does the quality keep getting worse and worse? Freaking KHL has a better international site. KHL!


I can only imagine it's because they want to insert their own ads without paying to a third party like google. BUT they are playing the SAME exact ad again and again for every video. And they're advertizing themselves. I mean, if I'm on NHL dot com, I'd say I know what NHL is.

Honestly, they're so stupid.


Also why is it that Netflix can bring you hundreds of thousands of hours of entertainment but you can't buy a single monthly subscription to watch all of NHL without being force fed into blackouts or buying a package with tons of other stuff you don't want or buying multiple subscription to different services?

Don't tell me it's because NHL makes more money because Netflix is far bigger than NHL. Came from behind and zoomed right past it, because they don't live in the stone age anymore.

Maybe a week ago the highlights would not load on my IPhone, error message was like browser not supported. Some days later it worked again and I was surprised how fast they fixed it and then I went to my PC and the vids were loading and loading and loading ...

The videos haven't been loading for me for some days now, maybe a week, I dunno...

They used to work ok other than that quality problem @ijuka mentioned earlier.

I'm in EU, haven't tried a VPN, disabling browser extensions doesn't seem to do anything, so I just stopped caring.

I live in Norway. On my iPhone, I can neither see the recap nor goal by goal. On my computer I can't see goal by goal either, BUT there I can see the recap. I don't understand any of this.

I always start the day by watching highlights and goals from the night's matches on my iPhone. Now life has no meaning anymore

For me the website can be a hit a or miss the NHL app works better if you want to catch the highlights or goals.

I tried Chrome, Firefox and Edge and it is the same on every platform. And yes, I have adblocker turned off. Also tried at work and it is the same. Very annoying.

I can also add that it been like this for over a month, that they havn't fixed it yet is a concern on its own lol.

No problems because I don’t use their trash site- google’s game slides or whatever they’re called are really convenient for goals. No ads, I just flip through to whichever scorer I wanna witness.

Not having any problem with them now, but I have in the past and have problems with videos on other sites. My problem with NHL.com was some security setting in the browser that I had to make an exception for NHL.com. I don't remember which one because it has been a while.

The security settings are not a magic bullet, though. I think it is CBS sports whose videos won't work no matter the settings. A different browser may let them through.
