Keep in mind we can likely LTIR him for the earlier part of the season and he may not cost very much.
I say yes, I think he was one of our best players in the playoffs despite playing through a serious injury.
It's 2023, your bottom 6 isn't just grinders, we need offense from them too. Even if Kakko & Laf play like top 6 players this season which is a tall ask, I don't see how that doesn't fit well. Kane on the 3rd line & PP on a cheap contract would be pretty good, no? What other options do we have there? We don't have much depth on the wings, we need another scoring winger. No, need to give our kids a chance.

Kreider - Zibanejad - Kakko
Lafreniere - Chytil - Panarin
Vesey? - Trocheck - Kane

And he's going to be paid like a 35yo coming off hip surgery, plus we can LTIR him. What other skilled players can we add for such a low cost? Our bottom 6 as is is probably the worst in the NHL.He’s going to be 35yo, coming off hip surgery. I just don’t think it would work out well.

He's gonna donate one of his legs to Kane. What about Kravtsov?
I noted in OP about using LTIR, I think it would be a unanimous no on a big contract for him so its definitely with the asterisk of him coming cheap and utilizing LTIR while he gets back up to speed after recovering from surgeryShitty poll. What's the term? What's the $? What are the performance bonuses?
Too general. Sorry for the harshness. Been a long day.

Something feels wrong about Kane making 1/3 of what Goodrow makes…No more than $1.25MM for one year.
Othman? And if they don't deliver right away, which some consider to be more likely than otherwise? No, need to give our kids a chance.
This.I'd consider it on a (relatively) cheap, one-year deal. Nothing more than that. And also only if we still had the space after whatever other moves we have planned. He wouldn't be a priority.
