Let's not be naive thinking that you can truly control whether agents, teams, managers and players contact each other.
The only way this stuff comes to light is if there is an extremely stupid party involved that indirectly spills the beans, i.e. player X goes to manager Y and states that "if you don't play me more or in this role I have team Z waiting for me, they are very interested in me!"
I believe this to be the truth.

When Rob Blake was signed by the Avs at 12:01am, July 1st, you know the contract wasn't negotiated and agreed upon in 1 minute.
Which goes back to the original question. Management talks to them all the time, players are what both would discuss, why not someone
on another team.
So, what exactly is tampering?
I always thought talking to an agent, wouldn't be.
