first there were no masks...then they started out with a cheap masks...then masks started to change and get better...

the masks goalies currently wear have been around since the 90s for majority of goalies

so, do you see a big change happening to goalies masks? like the overall design

Due to low scoring and all time highs in equipment size goalie masks, starting in 2017, will get progressively tighter with each save made. After 25 or so stops the average goalie won't be able to take it and will begin allowing goals to alleviate the pressure. Only the elite will be able to post 30+ save performances.

If the visor material was good enough, goalies would wear them now.

Maybe in the future.

I like the ones now. The design is appealing for the most part. Allows for some personal touches due to the dimensions and still is pretty sturdy

I don't think anything much will change for a while in just general design, the padding will probably change but this design just works. Most sports have their helmet designs down pretty well now, NFL helmets have been essentially the same for a long time now as well.
