My hair is somewhat long and is receding a bit, so I've got to take care of it while I've got it. Once the recede starts to get noticeably bad it's getting shaved. Seems like it's receding very slowly however.

This. I run out of conditioner about twice as fast if the bottles are the same size. Shampoo once a week, conditioner twice a week.

Yeah, I always measure the amount I use to avoid unpleasant surprises. I measure three times a week.
