Do the Leafs get more credit in hindsight for taking the Panthers to 7 games?

No, we don't get credit for losing better lol. It cannot 'improve' how the Leafs run is viewed, it just negatively affects the perception of this Canes team.

Another incredible stat Hyman 35 goals in 67 playoff games since leaving The Leafs , Marner/Matthews/Nylander 37 goals combined in 109 playoff games

If you’re an Anthony Stolarz injury away from losing a series, your team has some MAJOR flaws.

Was he always going to score goals for them in games 5 & 7 as well?

The Oilers lost Pickard in the middle of the Vegas series and had to go back to Skinner.

It made no difference.

You know all of Florida’s top line was out scored by the leafs top guys that series, right? Clearly their top guys didn’t produce either. You know who did? Their bottom 6. That’s why the leafs had 12 scorers in 13 games and the panthers had 17 in 12 games.

Nope he was instructed to look for Matthews for the shot , Matthews is the biggest Cancer on the Leafs and they will be lucky to be a wild card team letting Marner and Tavares walk . Marner is a Elite Playmaker ,Matthews is going to suffer big time and the Fact Hyman is almost lapping all three is hilarious
 
after 9 years of failing, I don't think the amount of "Credit" they get matters. They got blasted in their 2 biggest home games in 2 decades.

How many goals did Barkov get this game 7? Isn't it strange Luostarinen got more points and goals than him that game? Tkachuk 0 points that game, too. Barkov had 5 points in the series. Tkachuk had 4 points... lol.

Crazy that this stat applies to most stars. Most stars don't score 25 gajillion goals in game 7s. Or even points.

Yes, the fact that you're so illiterate that you can't grasp the exact same argument can be made for nearly every star player in the league -- and it applies directly to the team that beat us is astonishing. The American education system needs to be studied.

The good news is Marner is gone, and now you have money to pay a bottom six. The bad news is the UFA class is weak and you have no picks or prospects to make any meaningful trades. Oh well. It was a mid run.

The answer is 0 and 2. Luostarinen had 1 and 3 though. Crazy that in a 6-1 victory, your two stars combine for 2 points, and one of them had 0.

When you lose so many series deciding games in a row (and indeed games where you could close out a series earlier), there's deeper problems. Make an impact somehow. The Leafs just don't have that extra gear when the chips are down, and their stars shrink into nothing.

I think back to 2022 when the Oilers were on the cusp of losing to the Kings in round 1 and McDavid just refused to let them lose. He had an assist on the GWG in Game 6 and game 7 and then had the insurance marker in the latter.

Contrast the Leafs in that year where they needed only a single goal to advance against the Lightning and couldn't find it then managed a single paltry goal in a winner take all game 7 at home.

In fact in their last 6 winner take all games they've scored 1 goal or less.
 
Lol no.

The Leafs also got dummied. They were dramatically outplayed by Florida across the series too. The only reason it looked close was that Bob played like dookie for games 1 and 2.
