DO THE HABS MOVE ON FROM LAINE?

Eventually, yes. This summer, probably not. I'm sure they want to see what he looks like after an off-season of recovery and skating on two legs instead of one. I don't think you're going to be able to get another 20 goal in 50 game guy for the same price we got Laine. But the numbers are damning, The guy was always the fourth best forward on Winnipeg but got paid like he was the best. The potential for more is always there, and never realized.

He is what he is. I'm not sure he's a key piece on a contender, but in an exploitation role he's one of the best. If you can cover him with 11 other forwards, he won't hurt you. We're not deep enough for that though so it has hurt us.
