No.

And it is 100% the fault of the GENERAL MANAGER DON SWEENEY who made 0 (ZERO) moves between the start of the season and the Four Nations Break.

Fire Him now.

Tonight.
All he has done is blame the coach, then the players. He's basically washed his hands of it all and will work his one day of the season on deadline day like normal. Will be interesting to see what he does as Jacobs has already said he's going nowhere

C'mon Lou, if you didn't exaggerate it would be easier to take your point more seriously.

He works two days a year. Deadline day and day one of free agency. And BTW if you are less than age 28, you need not apply for a transaction on one of those days.

But to be serious, I hope they do sell off a handful of players.

How many teams changed their coach this year? Firing your coach is a bigger move than trading for a player.

I mean they brought in and played so many guys who weren't on the team last year, I don't think a lack of new bodies is the problem 57 games in.

What does it say about a team that has had minimal injuries up front this year but somehow has used 22 different forwards? They've used almost enough forwards to make up two teams. 9 of them brought in since last season.

I mean Marchand and Lindholm missed training camp with injuries and Pastrnak looked like he was dealing with something too. That's the big three up front. But you're right they've certainly not struggled in making moves with their forwards.

Defense too- Oesterle, Callahan, Wortherspoon have all played some significant time despite being 7-9 on the depth chart.

Relax, exaggeration/hyperbole is a legitimate form of expression when making a point. It's a literary device that conveys information in a non literal way.

We all know Sweeney works 5, maybe even 6 days a year.

Dude, I was kidding Lou. He's my boy. I thought what I wrote was self explanatory but I will work harder next time to indicate sarcasm

I just changed my vote. This group of overpaid, underachieving losers is not going to make the playoffs.
Does any team have more grossly overpaid players (McAvoy, Lindholm, Swayman, etc) than we do?

I say yes. 3/4 of Detroit, NYR, Ottawa, and CBJ will gag down the stretch and the Bruins will back-door their way in. Basically, I think 3/4 of those teams will suck more than the Bruins will the rest of the way.

I voted no.

They're in 12th place by win percent. They'd need to go 15-8-3 down the stretch (.635) to finish with 93 points and most of their games are on the road. The Sens and Wings have won 7 of their last 10, the Isles have won 8 of their last 10 and now the Rangers have won 6 of 10.
Just looking at the schedule and who their going up against....I just see 11 wins out of the possible 25 games.
And that's me being optimistic
