i heard on some podcast today, might have spittin chicklets, the sheet, DFO or something that no, suspensions dont affect the 4 nations cup.

Because they get to play with other best players and do somethin different? I don’t even go for all the nationalism, but just the quick professional pride of beating other top competition- that’s cool? Better than game #47 vs. Chicago or somethin.

I agree. Why risk injury &/or get more burned out for a farce of an in-season tournament. This is not best on best when so many awesome players are ineligible.
Olympics are a different story because of how meaningful they are.

Timing is pretty perfect, how else are we meant to get Stone on LTIR this year.

FWIW - I would've loved if they had suspended from the 4 nations cup. Mark my words... a superstar will be hurt at the tourney and some teams fanbase is going to be pissed that their best player was hurt in a mickey mouse tournament.

I'll use a generally loved player like Barkov... plays hard and wins a cup. Plays hard every night. No doubt he'll play hard for Finland (my pick btw)! He still has to comeback and finish regular season and then playoffs and Florida could repeat.

Meanwhile, Drai is on a bench sipping martinis and resting up.

So I say teach McDavid a lesson and suspend him from this too!

It's been 11 years since we had true best on best hockey in 2014. Thats why they wanna play in it.

Thats why in the future they should have it at the same time the Canada/World Cup was held. Aside from it being a great way for players to get back into game shape, if someone gets injured it's likely they'll be back at some point during the season.
