He'll immediately be top pair on the Moose. We have nothing there on the left side. Kuzmin had been playing 3rd pair for them and didn't seem to be progressing. I like the move.

Interesting move by the Jets.

Trading their only ELC level LD for a 5th year pro.

Jamaican maan.

Maybe the Jets are going to sign Dylan Anhorn to a 2 way contract down the road.

For the Moose he's probably #1 ahead of Anhorn and Sauntner. With Salomonsson back sooner or later, Lundmark, Barteaux and Bauer on the right side, and Coghlan potentially on the way down once Fleury is back on the roster this week I am not sure what changes there.

Does Lundmark go back to his offside, with Salomonsson? Anhorn with Coghlan? Phillips with Barteaux or Bauer? Sauntner out of the starting lineup?

One less prospect in the pipeline.

I guess if you want to read into Stanley getting moved and Coghlan staying up there is that, but I don't see it.

Seems like a guy to potentially release the Jets organization from Bauer next.

Phillips is a 6'3 Left shot defenseman and is 23 years old. Has played just under 60 NHL games over the past 3 years (only 3 this year).

Not sure what to make of this......

Like to think this is primarily done with the moose in mind. Hope they are trying to build a better environment there, more back and support for our forwards!

Can I be cynical. I think Philips as higher value as a throw in when we do our yearly deadline splash
