Dmitri Schitikov

I think there was a point, possibly before the 04 draft that he was supposed to be a first or second round pick. To my knowledge, he hasn't been drafted - either because he's way too small, or maybe his name freaks GM's out (it was originally anglicized as: S-H-I-T-I-K-O-V).

I also saw somewhere that he was supposed to play for Russia in the WJC, but wasn't on the roster that played in the Gold Medal Game.

Anyone have any information on this mystery man? Thanks.

He did not perform to the expected potential after the U18 WJC. The high attention was unjustified, it was something similar to Anikienko a few years back.

Those numbers are certainly unimpressive, but similar to Yakubov's... and Chicago brought him right over

I would want him to make the NHL ONLY to hear Cherry talk about him.
